Club History
Chicago Hoops Express is one of the oldest running AAU clubs for girls in the Chicagoland area. It is run by veteran coach Jerald Davis who started the Express as an YMCA team at the Middle School level. In the last 25 years the club has had over 300 girls go on to play in college including Candace Parker (Naperville North/Tennessee) , Khara Smith (Proviso West/Depaul) and Devereaux Peters (Fenwick/Notre Dame.)
Season Summary
The clubs 17U Silver team is comprised of players from the Class of 2019 , 2020 and 2022. Recently the team played great competition during through the month of July and had a 19-2 record. They were the runner -up in their divsion at the USJN Premier event and were the champions in their divsion of the pool/bracket play at the Nike Tournament of Champions.

Class of 2019
Sophia Albano,( 2019 Maine South)- Albano is an excellent 3 point shooter with a high basketball IQ who was being recruiting by quite a few smaller colleges and universities. She tore her ACL is June and will miss her senior season. We wish Sophia well in her recovery.
Gianni Ortiz ( 2019 Fenwick) – A tough as nails floor general, Ortiz is this team’s leader and excellent defender. She is small college prospect who is a very good shooter and plays very unselfishly.
Keimari Rimmer (2019 Proviso East) – Rimmer is a D1 elite level athlete who can score off the bounce, on the perimeter and inside. She is a college ready defender with great size as a guard who can play all 5 positions. Being recruited by numerous D1 programs.
Lauren Ramsey (2019 Mother McAuley) – Ramsey is a tough defender who defends the other teams best player. She finishes well and knocks down the open shot and makes a lot of effort plays to help the team’s success.
Molly Gannon (2019 St. Ignatius)- . Gannon is a combo guard who is arguably one of the best shooters in the state. She scores at such a high level that she has received recruiting interest from a variety of D3 to D1 level programs.
Jalyn Harris (2019 Downers Grove North)– At 6’3 Harris is a tough interior defender, that has great hands and rebounding skills. She continues to improve her ability to finish around the rim which is helping her gain recruiting interest on the D1 level.
Class of 2020
Lily Courier (2020 Lyons Township) – Courier has been playing on the Express 17U team since she was in Middle School . She is a rugged post player with perimeter skills who provides the glue for this squad with her ability to make plays that impact the game.
Angela Dugalic (2020 Maine West) – Dugalic is considered one of the top college prospects in the midwest. She is a Division 1 dynamic multi-positional player who can score on 3 levels,who also rebounds and defends at a high level.
Sydney Prochaska (2020 Montini) – A multi dimensional scorer with a high Basketball IQ. Prochaska is one of the best all around players in all of Illinois. Her defense and ability to win 50/50 possessions sets her apart from many talented players in her class. She is verbally committed to Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Class of 2022
Briana McDaniel (2022 Kenwood Academy) – A crafty 5-10 guard McDaniel is an elite player who already receiving interest from multiple Division 1 programs. She is already recognized as talented multi-position scorer who defends and competes at a much higher level than her grade level.
