The club has been an Adidas Gauntlet sponsored program since it began in 2014.
This past Spring/Summer their 17U Gauntlet Truding team came together and represented the club playing in competitive tournaments all over the USA.
The team was one of 32 teams from across the country and the only one in Illinois to participate in the Adidas Plantinum Gauntlet series. They went 4-0 in the PBR Prime Event Showcase in Orlando and advanced to the final 4 of the USJN Play for the State Tournament.
Coached by Matt Truding, this special group of players have received lots of interest from college programs all over the country and some have already received offers from prominent D1 programs.
Below is a summary of the players on this squad’s roster.
Class of 2019
Nosa Igiehon (Wheeling 2019)- Igiehon at 6’0”, is an extremely athletic post player who runs the floor very well. She is very active in the paint where she can score and rebound against taller players . Lots of D1/D2 interest as she begins her senior year,
Maura Fitzgerald( Grayslake Central 2019)- A 5’7 Point Guard, Fitzgerald controls the tempo of the game very well. She is an phenomenal on ball defender, excellent passer and has improved her ability score from the outside.
Class of 2020
Halle Douglass (Lake Forest) – Douglass is a 6’2 complete guard who has multiple offers from D1 programs. A very unselfish Floor General who has great floor vision, she can shoot and attack the rim. She is also touted for her defense where she can guard any position on the floor. Douglass participated in the USA U17 trials and Adidas All-American Camp this summer
Addie Budnik (Highland Park)- Budnik is a very versatile player who can play either the 3 or 4 spot. An excellent shot blocker at 6’2, she can score in a variety of ways including from behind the arc and in the paint She has had an awesome summer during the Gauntlet Series event and participated in the Adidas All-American Camp. Has multiple D1 offers .
Lydia Crow( Libertyville 2020)- A 5’10 Guard who can shoot the lights out, Crow has excellent 3 point range and has improved her skills off the dribble to make herself more of a scoring threat during this off-season. She is receiving some D1 interest.
Emily Klaczek (Fremd) – Klaczek is a 5’10 Point Guard who plays with a great deal of composure. She controls the tempo of game with her great decision making and compliments this with her ability to score from the outside and attacking the rim . Starting to receive D1 interest and will have multiple D1 offers over the next 12 months.
Susannah Holifield ( Rolling Meadows)- Holifield plays the game with lots of toughness . At 5’10 she gets lots of 2nd chance scoring opportunities while she battles in the paint. She does a nice job taking advantage of scoring opportunities knocking the open shot and scoring off the dribble.
Ella Gilbertson ( Lake Zurich 2020) – Gilbertson is a triple threat player who can shoot the 3, attacks basket and finishes in contact and can pull up and score in the mid-range. She is really athletic and can guard all 5 positions. She has received D1 interest this summer and will have multiple offers over the next 12 months.
Margaret Buchert (Libertyville)- Buchert is a playmaking guard who makes everyone on the floor better. She leads the break well in transition with her excellent passing ability. She scores well in the mid range, in the screen and roll game and very good 3 point shooter. .
Bridget Rolla (Rolling Meadows) – Rolla is 5’9 versatile player who can play multiple positions. Her natural position is at the Point where she impacts the game in many ways. She attacks the basket well and finishes thru contact along with being a solid defender/rebounder for her position well.
