The 5’9 forward is a player who hasn’t gotten much recognition but is going to see her recruiting take off over the next year. In Hanover Central’s first game of the year, Schreiber scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Last year, she averaged double-digit points for the season. This season you can expect that she will average close to a double-double throughout the season.
Schreiber is a tough-nosed player who really can do a lot of damage down in the post. She fights for rebounds and has a knack of being right where the ball is. Her hands are quick allowing her to get steals and last year she averaged over 3.5 a game. She has improved her shooting a lot over the past year as she has been working with a shooting coach. Her ability to shoot the ball from the outside and also do damage from inside makes her attractive to coaches. Schreiber told me that she loves being aggressive and getting as many rebounds as possible. Even though she is able to stretch out to the perimeter and shoot the ball, Schreiber still likes to go down low because she feels as if she has control over the defender.
Schreiber’s recruiting is going to pick up over this year and she has been already gaining some interest. Liberty University in Virginia and Olivet Nazarene have been two of the schools that have reached out to her. She would be a great fit at a school that is looking for a versatile player who can score at all three levels. Currently, Schreiber is a great fit at a Division 3 or NAIA school but could easily work her way up to gaining some D2 offers. Her passion for the game is unmatched and she is very open as to where she attends after high school. Her main thing is finding a school that is serious about helping her get better and a place that is serious about success in basketball.
She has the ability to get into the lane off the dribble and finish. A very strong player who can finish through contact at the rim as well. Fluid in the moves that she makes and has a knack to finish at odd angles. Tough to defend on the perimeter with her quick shot and isn’t afraid to take it if she has room. Schreiber is someone who is just starting to tap into her potential and will be a versatile player at the next level.
