King’s Fork’s do it all performer, Nylah Young, entered the contest at 28.5 PPG. Young was faced with the high scoring Indian River back court, of Freshman Yasmine Brown 17.9 PPG and Senior point guard Ajanee Robinson 17.4 PPG
In the end, this exciting contest was decided on the free throw line. Although Young was held to 11 points below her average, she did nail the game-winning free throws with 3.9 seconds left, finishing with a team-high 17 points. Young’s success at the line, allowed the No. 5 Bulldogs to escape with a 54-53 victory over the No. 8 Braves.

Indian River freshman Yasmine Brown has a bright upside
The 5’6 guard has a high motor and a scorers mentality. Brown, who finished with 23 points, pushed in transition and didn’t shy away down the stretch, as she buried a clutch 3 pointer in crunch time.
Indian River Senior Ajanee Robinson is a solid unsigned PG
With a 3.6 GPA. Robinson looks for team mates, scores when the opportunity presents itself and looks to takeover in crunch time. Robinson fought through a 3rd quarter ankle injury, sat out 4 minutes in the quarter, returned and finished with 13 points 6 assist and 5 steals.
Neecole Brown is The King’s Fork Engine
Kings Fork’s Neecole Brown 5’8 Senior guard is a long defender, with good handles and makes the Bulldogs go. Although Brown didn’t have her best performance, she is definitely plays a major role in the Bulldog’s success.
Alexus Banks Can Rebound
Alexus Banks King’s Fork 6’0 Senior, is a long forward who finishes well around the basket and plays as though EVERY rebound belongs to her. Banks finished the contest recording a double double with 12 points and 15 rebounds to help lead the Bulldogs.
Nyla Young Can Score
This Class 4 All-State performer can do-it-all! The 6’1 Senior has a solid build and knows how to use it. Young often leads the break after securing the rebound, kicks it ahead and looks to seal on the low block to finish on the return pass. Young can score whenever she wants! She has a motor and loves to mix it up under boards. Young is a big reason King’s Fork should make a solid state tournament run.
