If you are reading this and never seen or heard of Heath, she is a savvy combo guard that can handle the ball as well as shoot lights out. She has the ability to shoot the mid range jumper, get passed defenders, and guard.
Kamri Heath attacking the defense.Against U.S. Grant, Heath was attacking the rim and setting her teammates up for open looks to the basket. She played on a much higher level than her opponents. Although, Heath played a tab bit against Grant to save her body for their next opponent, she changes the game for Edmond North with her energy. Really gets after the ball. Her teammates feed off her energy and bounciness to destroyed their competition making the ending score 80-10. With that win Edmond North advanced to the Regional Championship game where they went on to face Edmond Santa Fe.
Kamri Heath and the huskies battled against Edmond Santa Fe from start to finish. This was a great match up for Huskies. Heath, showed a lot of her skill set in the SF game. She stepped up against the forceful backcourt of Edmond Santa Fe guards. She was bold. She played with such confidence, it was almost impossible to stop her. Heath was able to get to the rim with multiple defenders around her. She came off screens for jumpers as well as knocking down transition jumpers. Mid range shooting is a rare part of basketball that most players, especially high school, do not use or have in their toolbox.
Not the case for Heath! Her pure mid range shot, made the fans eager to cheer when she had the ball. She proved defenders must have a hand in her face at all times or the ball was going in the basket. She also provided the same energy that she played with against Grant, Saturday night. You can definitely tell she loved to compete. Kamri will be an elite guard for Airforce.
