Arizona Elite Spring Classic: Top Posts

In our ongoing post-event coverage of the Arizona Elite Spring Classic, it is hard to not recognize the top post players from the tourney. The tourney was strongly dominated by guards as far as numbers go, but there was still enough solid post play on display in Arizona. Below are some of the top post players that we evaluated in the Spring Classic: 2020 6'3 PF <strong>Calista Clark</strong> (Colorado Basketball Club) - Cali Clark stood out in the very first game I watched, with her physical post play. She set hard screens and had no problem initiating contact with opposing players. She is a strong rebounder and executes half court sets as a screener, post up player and passer. Legit D1 post prospect. *Feature image 2020 6'2 PF <strong>Laura Erikstrup</strong> (Clutch Players Red) - Skilled forward that has the versatility to play more of an uptempo game or half court style. She has good length and uses it well for grabbing rebounds. She is solid operating from the high post as well and her versatility will allow for her to be moved around the floor by the time she suits up for <em>San Diego</em>, where she has verbally committed. 2021 6'2 PF <strong>Kendra Gillispie</strong> (Oklahoma Lions Elite) - Kendra had one of the very best showings out of any post player in the event. She is a strong body with wide shoulders, but she runs the floor fluidly. Has the ability to knock down the three ball or take defenders off the bounce from the top of the key. Very difficult to keep off the boards with her size. Led her team to the 17u regional championship. Kendra picked up an offer from Hampton University following the event. 2022 6'2 C <strong>Sierra Logue</strong> (NW Blazers Fire) - Sierra's showing was short-lived, as she went down with a hyper-extended knee, but she made an instant impact in her first experience on the circuit. The Oregon prospect can run the floor well and has great timing blocking shots on defense. Division 1 prospect. 2020 6'3 PF/C <strong>Keeli Burton-Oliver</strong> (NW Blazers Orange) - The <em>Arizona State</em> <em>bound</em> post used her physicality inside and dominated smaller defenders scoring inside. Keeli is very difficult to stop when her motor is running hot and she really turned some heads in one game in particular where she dominated the entire game for the Blazers. Keeli will suit up for the adidas USA Select team this June. 2022 6'2 C <strong>Alexis Stein</strong> (Sagebrush Black) - Very physical post player that operates best in the half court game. She sets hard screens and is physical when going for rebounds.
