Player Spotlight: TANIYA TEASE
#15 Junior, 5’8, Guard, Tulsa Edison HS
Witness much of her play in the second live period in May. The Arsenal struggled to get anything going largely due to turnovers and poor rebounding. They had a couple of bright moments thanks to #15, Taniya Tease. She showed signs of being a real threat on the offensive end. Not only scoring, but in a mature fashion, as she used pump fakes around the basket, as well as on the perimeter prior to pulling of for mid-range jumpers. Refreshingly, she even sank a floater which seems to be a lost art for many players.
Her growth will be exciting to watch. She could evolve into a great combo guard as she continues to develop her outside shot. Understanding basketball IQ will be critical as well, knowing where the help defenders are coming from as well as identifying shooters on the floor. She seems as if she already knows how to get her spots and make things happen. From observation she is can be a dangerous PNR player with shooters in the corner.

-Nice pull-up jumper
