Mya Meredith, Scott – Mya is a certified bucket getter and may be the best scorer in the state, regardless of class. She has great positional size and is in the mix to be the top ranked player in the 2021 class when we update our rankings again. Don’t be surprised to see Mya average near thirty points per game as a Junior this season.
Kendall Wingler, Meade County – Wingler has finally earned the college offers she has been looking for as her recruitment has taken off this summer. Kendall can score the ball at the rim, from three or in the midrange. Already scoring over 2,000 career points in her Meade County career, she could potentially eclipse the 3,000 point mark in her career.
Whitney Hay, Elizabethtown – Another of this summer’s biggest stock risers, Hay is the biggest piece of an E-Town team who will be among the top contenders for a state championship in March. Whitney has an ability to get by her defender and finish at the rim and is always improving as a perimeter shooter.
Kaylee Mathis, Clay County – Kaylee is likely the best player in the mountains. She’s already committed to Cumberlands for college basketball. Mathis has had a sterling career and should end up as the best player to come through Clay County in a long time. Her ability to score the ball at a high level is second only to her competitiveness.
Amerah Steele, South Laurel – The future Eastern Kentucky Lady Colonel is the best scorer on a team loaded with scorers. Amerah averaged 22 points per game and is more than just a shooter. Steele can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim or knock down threes at nearly 40% from behind the line.
