Check out Part 2 and Part 3 if you haven’t already.
Mead (4-3) vs Berthoud (7-0)
Maddox Boston (2022 G/F) and Jackie Stephenson (2022 F) will be leading the Mavericks against Berthoud’s undefeated team. Boston is averaging 12.1 points and 2.9 steals per game, while Stephenson is averaging 8.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
The Berthoud Spartans will be rallying behind Emily Cavey (2020 G/F) who is averaging 17 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 4.3 steals a game. One of the many strong additions for the Spartans is Celsey Selland (2020 F/C) who is putting up 8.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
Holy Family (2-4) vs Frederick (3-3)
Alyssa Wells (2021 G), Cecilia Aanerud (2021 F/C), and the Holy Family Tigers will be entering this contest with Aanerud’s average of 6.3 rebounds and 4 points a game. Wells has recorded 9.8 points and 2.7 steals a game so far this season.
Frederick’s Megan Majeres (2023 G), 8.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, and Lauren Leitner (2020 F), 6.3 points and 5.5 rebound average, will be expected to put up a serious fight against their challengers.
Golden (2-5) vs Centaurus (2-4)
Golden’s Allyson Goodwin (2020 G) is putting up 9.4 points a game, while Audrey Pino (2020 G) is averaging 8 points. If teammate Elli Garnett (2020 G/F) can duplicate her last performance, a double-double consisting of 40 points and 13 rebounds, the Demons will be tough competition for the Centaurus Warriors.
Laura Gensert (2023 G) is the leading scorer for the Warriors, averaging 14 points a game. Natalie Kramer (2021 F) is averaging 8.2 points and 4.2 rebounds a game, and Julia Mischke (2021 G) has averaged 8.3 points and 2.8 rebounds a game. This should make for an evenly matched contest.
Deer Trail (4-0) vs Belleview Christian (4-2)
Deer Trail’s Desi Woodis (2020 G/F) and her 16.5 points and 4 rebounds per game will be looking to help lead the Eagles to another win against a tough opponent. Teammate Emily Reed (2020 F) has averaged 6.3 rebounds and 7 points over just three games, numbers that her team will be hoping she increases during this matchup.
Belleview’s Elaizha Nelson (2022 G/F) is averaging 12 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, while Freshman standout Bethany Long (2023 F) is averaging 11 rebounds and 8.7 points per game. This game is slated to be one of many marquee matchups during the weekend.
Adams City (5-3) vs Legend (3-4)
The Adams City Eagles will be led by Jayanti Jones (2020 G), a dominant scorer averaging 13 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Amanda Herron (2020 C) has asserted herself as an absolute force at the rim, racking up a 10.6 rebound average to go along with her 5.3 points a game.
Ally Lowe (2020 F) and Kinzie Whitehead (2022 F) have been working hard at maintaining the spark for the Legend Titans. Lowe is averaging 9.6 points and 5.1 rebounds along with Whitehead’s 9.2 points and 6.4 rebound average. Look for Legend to prove themselves against tough competition in this game.
Sierra (4-3) vs Woodland Park (2-5)
D’nae Wilson (2020 G) has been lighting up the scoreboard for the Sierra Stallions this season, averaging 21.1 points a game in addition to her 3.7 rebounds per game. Azaria Lacour (2020 G) has followed up with 11.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game for the Stallions.
The Woodland Park Panthers will be looking to Sarah Iskra (2020 G), Sage Drummond (2020 F/G), and Jada Boddy (2020 F) to fight off a high-powered Sierra team. This trio has accumulated 115 points, 67 rebounds, and 21 steals over five games. Performances that they will definitely need to reproduce in order to slow down the Stallions.
