Faith Bland 5’10” Metro: An all-around talent who has already signed to play at Texas A&M-Commerce, Bland plays all five positions on the floor for the Panthers and plays them all well. She is an excellent offensive player in the low post, but she is just as comfortable on the perimeter where she can handle the ball and facilitate the offense with her passing. She is averaging 20.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 4.7 steals a game. She has also 20 blocked shots as well.
Antuanae Garrett 5’6″ Miller Career Academy: An excellent combo guard who is one-half of Career’s Academy’s outstanding twin-sister backcourt. She is more of the shooting guard of the duo as she scores a team-high 14 points a game while making 39 percent of her 3-pointers. She is also a solid ball handler who can take over the point guard duties when needed.
Ajanae Garrett 5’6″ Miller Career Academy: A talented floor general who is the point guard of the twin sister act. She handles the ball and runs the offense while getting everyone involved. She is currently averaging 11 points a game while handling out nearly five assists per contest. She also averages about three steals a game.
Jalyia Smith 5’8″ Vashon: A very talented point guard who knows how to get buckets and create offense for others. She has excellent handles, which enables her to get to her spots on the court. She has a nice mid-range jumper and she really excels in the transition game. She is currently averaging 12.5 points and three assists a game for a Vashon team that is experiencing a great turnaround season.
Jayrissa Grayson 5’9″ Miller Career Academy: An athletic combo forward who is the best rebounder and defensive player on the Phoenix. She has excellent mobility and a quick second and third jump around the basket to dominate the boards. She will also surprise offensive players with her shot-blocking ability. She is averaging 11 points and eight rebounds a game.
Kinnuady Daniels 5’9″ Gateway STEM: The undersized power forward is one of the best rebounders in the league, especially at the offensive end. I watched her grab 10 offensive rebounds in a game. She does a nice job of rebounding out of her area. She is strong and has a high motor. She is currently averaging 13 points and nearly nine rebounds a game while shooting 56 percent from the field.
Kaitlyn Simms 6’1″ Gateway STEM: A very capable post player who has made consistent improvement throughout her career. She uses her size well to post up and get good position in the lane. She has a nice touch around the basket on her turnaround jumper and she will use the backboard well. She is averaging seven points and six rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field.
Amori Dampier-McClous 5’11” Gateway STEM: A very smooth lefty wing who has been starting since her freshman season. She plays at her own pace and she is very effective with it because she doesn’t get rushed, but she gets where she needs to go on the court. She is averaging 10.5 points and nearly six rebounds a game while also playing the role of a secondary ball handler. She will also knock down an open 3-pointer when needed.
