GAME #1: Arcadia vs Platteville
TIME: 1:35 PM
KEY PLAYERS FOR PLATTEVILLE:
Platteville has gone undefeated this season and is largely because of the dynamic duo that leads their team each game. Sami Martin Sami Martin 6'2" | PF Platteville | 2020 State WI and Josie Nies. The two work exceptionally well together and each have consistently put up numbers for Platteville. Sami Martin Sami Martin 6'2" | PF Platteville | 2020 State WI is averaging 17.4 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game. The 6’2 forward is a pure post player and has really perfected her footwork in the paint. From her reverse drop step, to her impressive up and under move- she’s as unpredictable in the paint as they come. The has a bag full of moves and each one gets her buckets inside. The Bradley University is just as effective on the defensive end here she uses her length to deter players from entering the lane. Playing beside her is Josie Nies, the senior forward who is averaging 14.2 points per game. Nies is a bit more versatile on offense as having Martin in the lane has allowed her to step out and become crafty on the perimeter. She has a nice shooting stroke and has hit some key shots in big games this season.
KEY PLAYERS FOR ARCADIA: The big three for Arcadia have been essential this season to their team’s success. Leading the pack is senior forward Ellie Hoesly. The 6’0 viterbo commit has had huge numbers in her team’s undefeated conference record this season. She’s strong under the basket and a put back rebounding specialist. She is averaging 15.8 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. Hoesly, a primarily inside scoring player has developed into quite the threat on the perimeter. She has a lot of confidence in her outside shooting abilities. Following behind her is senior Linzy Sendelach. The 5’10 senior forward is averaging 12.8 points and leading her team in rebounding with 7.6 per game. Her and Hoesly work really well together and have yet to be stopped by a defense this season. Sendelbach has over 80 offensive rebounds this season. Chloe Halveson is the point guard in the trio and is averaging 8.6 points and leads her team with 3.5 steals per game. She is lighting quick on defense and causes multiple turnovers per game. She has over 80 steals this season.
GAME #2: Lake Mills vs Wrightstown
TIME: 3:00 PM
DinyKEY PLAYERS FOR WRIGHTSTOWN:
Wrightstown has been led with one of the state’s highest scoring dynamic duo. The team is led by Ella Diny Ella Diny 5'8" | CG Wrightstown | 2020 State WI who is averaging 23.4 points per game. The 5’9 senior guard plays with a true scorer’s mentality and is super explosive on offense. She is supremely crafty and has a bag full of ways to get past a defender. Playing alongside Diny is Bridget Froehlke Bridget Froehlke 5'8" | CG Wrightstown | 2020 State WI . The 5’9 senior guard does everything for the team. She is averaging 20 points per game and leads her team in assists with 7.2 per game. She’s extremely competitive while playing with so much composure offensively. She is committed to University of Missouri- Kansas City.
KEY PLAYERS FOR LAKE MILLS:
This season Lake Mills has relied on three juniors to get them to the state tournament. The team is led by Julianna Wagner who is averaging 13.8 points per game. She’s been a huge asset to her team this season and her points will be essential to making it to the championship game. The 5’5 junior is averaging 4.8 assists per game and does an excellent job of distributing the ball to her star post player. The star post player for Lake Mills is 6’0 junior center Vivian Guerrero. She is averaging 11 points per game and leads her team in rebounding with 9 per game. She’s dominant in the paint and works really well with Wagner. Taylor Roughen is also quite the floor general for her squad. She has been adding to her scoring average during playoffs as she’s had some big games with big numbers. The junior PG is averaging 11.6 points and 2.3 assists per game.
