Seton Catholic was absolutely dominant the entire season, not losing a single game and finishing 18-0 and of course won the state title. Let’s look at some of their key players.
Isabella DiGiovanni Isabella DiGiovanni 6'2" | PF Seton Catholic | 2021 State AZ 6’2 2021 F
Isabella has really shown some development this season. She is growing as a scorer and is showing more and more confidence each and every day. She has great size and length while also having mobility and speed of a guard. Bella is a really good prospect for the 3 spot at the next level, in my opinion. She has the length and skill to play that position. Bella can also really shoot it with consistency, knocking down the midrange at a high clip.
Sasha Daniel Sasha Daniel 5'7" | CG Seton Catholic Prep | 2022 State AZ 5’4 2022 G
Daniel had a very solid season. Despite being very young, she looks very calm and poised out on the court. I think she is going to have to play point guard at some point, it doesn’t seem like she plays the point too much right now because Seton has two really great ones! Seems like Sasha plays more of the 2 guard role and she plays it well. She can shoot the 3 very well and isn’t afraid to go into the paint and finish with big bodies.
LeeLee Willis LeeLee Willis 5'6" | CG Compass Prep | 2022 State AZ 5’5 2022 G
Willis is a tremendous play maker. This girl has elite court vision and athleticism. If her team needs a big play or a momentum swing, she’s going to provide. She is very strong and fast, which makes it easy for her to finish at the basket. Her defense is also very good. In the state championship game, she matched up against Alyssa Brown Alyssa Brown 6'1" | PF Sahuaro | 2021 State AZ , who won Gatorade Player of the Year and is probably the beat scorer in the state. Brown also has a huge size advantage of Willis, standing at 6’2. Despite these “disadvantages”, Willis held her own! Her strength and speed allowed her to play top notch defense.
Jamie Gillian Jamie Gillian 6'1" | PF Seton Catholic | 2021 State AZ 6’0 2021 F
Big fan of Gillian’s game. Gillian may not be as flashy as some of the players here but she gets the job done. Jamie is a hustle player and a big time rebounder. She has a really good frame and strength, while also having tremendous mobility.
Lexi McNabb Lexi McNabb 5'6" | CG Lincoln Prep (Canada) | 2022 State AZ 5’7 2022 G
McNabb has also seen a huge jump in her development this season. Her jumper is looking very solid and of course she is still just as fast as ever. Lexi has great change of speed that allows her to get to the basket. Her on ball defense is also ridiculous, she really knows how to use her speed and her footwork is elite. All around great player!
Amelie Cartagena Amelie Cartagena 5'5" | CG Seton Catholic | 2023 State AZ 5’4 2023 G
Amelie played big minutes and was a huge part of the championship win! This is something I did not expect. I thought maybe the moment would be too much for a freshman but Cartagena played so well! She just seems to make the right play one after another. Really excited to see what she develops into throughout the years since she’s already playing at a high level as a freshman!

Annemarie might be the best 3 point shooter on the Seton Catholic roster. She has a very quick release and has the green light to pull it from deep. She knocks them down with great consistency, as long as the mid-range. I really like that skill set, I feel like it adds a bit of versatility to the forward spot and makes you that much more dangerous.
Amanda Barcello Amanda Barcello 5'11" | SF Seton Catholic | 2021 State AZ 6’0 2021 G/F
Barcello is the MVP of the season, in my opinion. This kid means so much to this team and provides so much for them on the court. She’s the leader and defensive anchor of the team. Her defense has always been the most impressive part of her game. However, her offensive game has really progressed. She is shooting the ball better, looking more aggressive on drives, and just overall scoring more. Barcello is really putting it all together and turning into a very scary prospect.
