Bay City Central vs. Midland Dow
This will be a great battle of wills. Bay City Central has sophomore post star Alecsis Smith, while Midland Dow matches with perimeter stars like Jada Garner and Olivia Carpenter.
New Baltimore Anchor Bay vs. Macomb Dakota
While Cameron Grant and her Macomb Dakota team are the obvious favorites, don’t take anything away from Anchor Bay. With a young talent like Genevieve Decker and some solid veterans, anything is possible.
East Kentwood vs. Byron Center
Let’s face it, these are 2 really good teams that shouldn’t be playing each other in the first round. The 2 teams have a combined record of 36-4 and the winner of this game could make a deep run. Great players like Avery Zeinstra (Byron Center) and Kaybriana Hallman (East Kentwood) will be on display.
Saline vs. Belleville
I know, Saline is 18-2 and boasts what is probably the most talented team in school history. I know, Saline has junior star Ella Stemmer. I know, Belleville is 4-16 on the season. Belleville is better than that record and they have competitors like Nya Thomas.
