With all of the talent in the state in the class of 2023, a fourth look at some of the athletes that were impact players in their first high school season is clearly necessary.
Kynnedy Brown (F, Kalamazoo Central)
The future is bright at Kalamazoo Central, and Brown plays a key role in it. She’s an efficient scorer and has a nose for the ball off the rim. I see a lot of double-doubles in Brown’s future.
Macey Fegan (SG, Standish-Sterling)
Fegan is a bona fide playmaker on the perimeter. She’s a multi level scorer that is characterized by her versatility. Fegan can be the primary ball handler and play and defend 3-4 positions successfully.
Regan Finkbeiner (PG, Hemlock)
High school basketball fans in Michigan will not want to let Finkbeiner’s name sneak through the cracks. She’s a quick footed floor general that can score and dish. Finkbeiner’s quick fet on both ends make her a tough matchup.
Markeita Grays (PF, Wayne Memorial)
Grays has the potential for a big time future in the game of basketball. She alters shots in the paint and attacks the glass with her bounciness. Grays can get down the court and run in the open floor.
McKenna Macon (PG, Mattawan)
Macon is a dynamic young floor general. She can create for herself or her teammates off the dribble. Macon has a mature game and is a solid decision maker.
Quinn Robak Quinn Robak CG Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes | 2022 MI (SG, Waterford Our Lady Of The Lakes)
Robak is a knockdown shooter. She has range beyond the arc and is basically a threat to bury a triple from tip to buzzer. Robak has a high basketball IQ that greatly helps her efficiency.
