The Favorite: Brooklynn Miles Brooklynn Miles 5'6" | PG Franklin County | 2021 State #48 Nation KY , Franklin County
How she wins: Long regarded as the top player in the class, Brooklynn sails through her Senior season while maintaining her level of production and keeps stacking high major offers. Bonus points with voters if she commits to Kentucky for college.
How she loses: Because her team is talented and fairly balanced, she won’t have the gaudy numbers that other players could put up.
Second Favorite: Harley Paynter Harley Paynter 5'7" | CG Boyd County | 2021 State KY , Boyd County
How she wins: Like 2019 Miss Basketball from Boyd County Savannah Wheeler Savannah Wheeler 5'7" | SG Boyd County | 2019 State KY , Harley puts up massive scoring numbers as Boyd has another big season and Paynter is showcased in big games all across the state.
How she loses: Paynter didn’t have a huge offer list before her commitment to Morehead State and doesn’t get a ton of hype despite her gaudy stats. Her profile statewide isn’t as big as some of the other girls on the list.
So you’re telling me there’s a chance: Mya Meredith Mya Meredith 5'10" | SF Scott | 2021 State KY , Scott
How she wins: Prior to missing her Junior year, Mya was on track to be a Dontaie Allen-like scorer, smashing records along the way. She bounces back for her Senior year and gets right back to huge scoring games and leading her team to 20+ wins again.
How she loses: She comes back from her injury but struggles a little early in the year as she works to get her timing and agility back. The slow start costs her in the long run.
