This is a testament to how hard these players have worked throughout the year. Their ability to improve the games individually also translated well to their high school teams.
So let us take a look at some of our stock risers into the class of 2021.
Indya Green Indya Green 5'11" | PF Kickapoo | 2021 State MO 5’11″ PF, Kickapoo – Ranked #7 from #19
The outstanding forward really stepped up her play this past season. A 2-time MBCA All-State player in Class 5, Indya plays a skilled game in the post. She has excellent hands and footwork in the post and can score over both shoulders. Indya improved on her jump shot and ball-handling to get to the basket.
Naudia Evans Naudia Evans 5'6" | CG Waynesville | 2021 State MO 5’6″ CG, Waynesville – Ranked #5 from #39
Naudia could have possibly the best season of anyone in the 2021 class. She can flat out score the ball; in the mid-range, from three, and creating off the bounce getting to the rim. Her ability to get to any spot on the floor and use either hand getting there has really improved from last season. This young lady always looks to be in attack mode.
Makaiya Brooks Makaiya Brooks 5'9" | CG Springfield Central | 2021 State MO 5’9″ CG, Springfield Central – Ranked #6 from Unranked
A hidden gem that flew under the radar but really improved her game during the summer leading up to this past season. Makaiya improved her scoring, rebounding, and steals and is unguardable with the ball in her hand. What really sets her apart is her ability to play off the ball. Understanding how to use screens and her quick release from three causes opposing teams problems.
Chorus Davis Chorus Davis 5'8" | CG Lincoln Prep | 2021 State MO 5’7″ CG, Lincoln Prep – Ranked #10 from Unranked
The ’big body’ guard had to hold things down while her backcourt mate and TCU commit Amari Conn Amari Conn 5'7" | CG Lincoln Prep | 2020 State MO was out until January recovering from a knee injury. Chorus did more than hold things down she flourished! She is one of the better two-way players in the state. Chorus can score from anywhere on the floor, her handles and creativity to get her shot off showed great improvement. She is always shot ready and has great court awareness on both ends.
Aliyah Williams Aliyah Williams 5'4" | PG Parkway North | 2021 State MO 5’4″ PG, Parkway North – Ranked #12 from Unranked
Another hidden gem that turned heads this season. Being a smaller guard, Aliyah plays the game with an aggressive playmaking style. With her improved jumper and use of ball screens, she used her vision and increased IQ to score or find her open teammates. Aliyah is a menace on defense which helps her get out on fast breaks. She plays hard on the court and really competes at an elite level.
