Roster
Madison Alophsen 6’0″ Parkway North: A versatile post player who is an excellent offensive rebounder. She does a great job of tracking the ball and can get out of her area for offensive putbacks. She is a very capable shooter from 3-point range and she can also score inside with her cutting ability. She averaged five points and five rebounds on an excellent Vikings’ teams. She is primed for a big year as a junior in 2021.
Ariana Bennett 6’0″ Edwardsville: An athletic young post player who has continued to make strides early in her career. She has good length and mobility to help her as a scorer and rebounder. She is also working to develop her game away from the basket. She averaged five points and three rebounds a game as part of a loaded Edwardsville 2022 class that helped the Tigers to a 27-win season.
Zaire Harrell 5’9″ MICDS: An athletic point guard who is a dynamic player at both ends of the floor. She uses her athleticism to stay in attack mode, whether she’s going coast to coast or in the half court offense. She is also an elite defender with her strength and ability to anticipate in the passing lanes. As a sophomore, she averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.4 steals in earning All-Conference honors.
Rhylee Johnson 6’1″ O’Fallon: A capable young post player who saw limited varsity duty on a Panthers’ team that won 20+ games and advanced to the sectional championship game. She has good size and a high upside for the future.
Carli Libhart Carli Libhart 5'6" | PG Rolla | 2022 State MO 5’6″ Rolla: A capable young point guard who can distribute the basketball and organize the team. When she isn’t facilitating the offense, she can make open 3-pointers off the catch and create a little offense off the dribble with her handles. She helped lead her team to a Class 4 district championship.
Trinniti Matthews Trinniti Matthews 5'11" | SF Francis Howell Central | 2022 State MO 5’11″ Francis Howell Central: A long and athletic wing player who is an impact player on the defensive end with her length and mobility. She has a versatile skill set with excellent moves in the low post and good ball handling ability on the perimeter. As a sophomore, she averaged seven points, four rebounds and two steals on a conference championship team.
Mariah Maxie 5’6″ Cardinal Ritter: A quick young guard who is one of the building blocks of the Lions’ up and coming team. She has solid handles and can attack the basket well. As a sophomore, she averaged nine points a game.
Shakara McCline 5’6″ East St. Louis: The athletic guard was one of the top young players on the metro east side of the St. Louis area for the Flyerettes. She has excellent speed and quickness and she excelled in the open court while attacking the basket. As a sophomore, she averaged 13.5 points, three rebounds and 2.5 steals en route to earning All-Southwestern Conference honors.
Haley Ottenschneider 5’8″ Breese Central: The talented young wing is an excellent 3-point shooter who will knock shots down when given the time and space. She is also a very good position defender who will battle to keep her opposing offensive player from getting to their spot off the ball, thus creating a lot of steals and turnovers.
Destini Rogers 5’8″ Ladue: The sophomore wing was a valuable complimentary player on a veteran team that won a district championship. She is an excellent 3-point shooter who can excel in the pick-and-pop to space the floor. She is also a solid ball handler. She will assume a much larger role for the Rams next season.
Jay’la Teasley Jay’la Teasley 5'5" | PG Francis Howell North | 2021 MO 5’5″ Francis Howell North: A very quick point guard who puts that speed to good use as a very effective on-ball defender. If she is not picking the ball handler’s pocket, she is keeping up the constant pressure. On the offensive end, she is at her best in the transition game and attacking the basket.
