Timia Ware Timia Ware 5'5" | PG Whitney Young | 2021 State #58 Nation IL , 5’7” Point Guard, Whitney Young
One of the most coveted players in the state right now, Ware received another Power 5 offer this week from the University of Miami. Timia is one of the premier scorers in the country, using her superb ball handling and quickness to get by most defenders she faces. She’s an extremely talented shooter with the confidence to pull up from anywhere and knock down shots at a high rate. Defensively she uses her quickness and toughness to give opposing PG’s problems for the entirety of the game.
Molly Sheehan Molly Sheehan 5'8" | PG Benet Academy | 2021 State IL , 5’8” Combo Guard, Benet Academy
Aside from Ware, I’m not sure of a prospect receiving more attention over the last few weeks than Sheehan, who received her third D1 offer in as many weeks, this time from NJIT. Many know her as an outstanding spot-up Shooter, but her ability to run the Point and create plays for her teammates makes her a real threat offensively.
Emma Raupp Emma Raupp 5'4" | CG Schaumburg | 2021 State IL , 5’7” Combo Guard, Schaumburg
Raupp is a high-IQ player who uses a solid all-around skill set to impact the game on both ends, helping her receive an offer from Loras College this week. She handles the ball well at the Point and sees the floor well to find open teammates. Emma has a good shot from deep and she does a nice job determining whether to drive or shoot based on the defender’s close-out. Defensively, she takes pride in getting stops and shows toughness and grit guarding the ball.
Erin Houpt Erin Houpt 5'6" | PG Danville | 2021 State IL , 5’6” Point Guard, Danville
One of the top scoring Point Guards in the state made her commitment to Mercer University this week. Houpt has a comparable game to Ware’s with her ability to handle the ball with speed and elusiveness, and score at all levels. She gets defenders off balance easily and uses that to create open looks for herself. Erin has unlimited range from deep and does a terrific job of controlling her body in the lane to finish amongst taller players.
