With that being said, anything I write is based on exactly that and providing I had a roster, if you can I certainly have no problem saying that but here are some of the players I have personally seen from the Austin/San Antonio area
2021
Eriny Kindred Eriny Kindred 6'0" | SF Del Valle | 2021 State TX (Del Valle)
Current Rank #18
Kindred was athletic and raws the first time I saw her in middle school but she was also long and athletic and over the years, she has just continued to elevate on the court with the jumper as well as her status and she has legitimized herself as a BCS player. She can shoot the mid to long, explode off the dribble, rebound, defend and play the passing lane
Malaysia DePrisco Malaysia DePrisco 5'11" | SF Cedar Ridge | 2021 State TX (Cedar Ridge)
Current Rank #40
DePrisco impressed me as a freshman with her defense, her hunger and her desire made it apparent she was going to bring heat throughout her career. I caught up with her last season at the Katy Classic and watching her attack from various angles on the court as well as create her shot in traffic and knock down the midrange jumper showed me she had been putting in the work
Jazra Williams Jazra Williams 5'10" | SF Vista Ridge | 2021 State TX (Vista Ridge)
Current Rank #70
Williams work ethic is second to none and that, as well as her energy, has always stood out. She can attack with power and finish after contact, she can shoot the long ball with ease and she also can create her shot off the dribble but her defense, baseline to baseline or in the half-court, as well as her ability to rebound on both ends of the court gives her options for the net level
2022
Alexis Parker Alexis Parker 5'10" | SF Brandeis | 2022 State TX (Brandeis)
Current Rank #56
Parker mixes it up nicely on the offensive end to keep defenders guessing and it starts with a deceptive first step that sort of sets things up. She can take it to the rim and finish after the lick and that’s from the wing or just about anywhere on the court but she also shoots the midrange well and her pull-up is smooth, as well as her stop and pop in transition
Susie McCormick Susie McCormick 5'9" | SF Regents | 2022 State TX (Regents)
Current Rank #67
McCormick plays bigger than she is and when you throw in she passes well off the dribble, attacks the basket strongly and creates her shot well under pressure, that tells part of the story because another chapter would talk about how she battles, and that can be either going for rebounds on both ends of the court or diving for loose balls constantly
2023
Sammie Wagner Sammie Wagner 6'1" | SF Reagan | 2023 State #2 Nation TX (Reagan)
Current Rank #1
Wagner has been a #BEAST since day one, well my first time seeing her in the 6th or 7th grade and just watching her eyes early told me a lot as she absorbs everything and when you think the game, you are ahead of the game and she is way ahead after committing to Baylor as an 8th grader, her range is unlimited, she scores multiple ways and I’ve compared her to a young Lauren Cox so, remember that
Saylor Upshaw Saylor Upshaw 5'10" | SF San Marcos | 2023 State TX (San Marcos)
Current Rank #50
Upshaw gave me a debut to remember at She’s Ballin in March and that showing got her ranked, it’s that simple. She’s long and athletic, plays passing lane, can go coast to coast after rebounding, but under pressure, either scoring or applying, she is ready but even more impressively is the fact that she is nowhere near the finished product
Amya Miller-Sullivan Amya Miller-Sullivan 5'7" | SF Sam Houston | 2023 State TX (Sam Houston)
Current Rank #58
Miller-Sullivan brought a number of things to the table when I caught her at the South Texas Classic and first of all, she plays within herself and doesn’t force things and at a young age, this is always good. Her athletic ability is solid, so is the fact that she understands how to set defenders up to take them off of the dribble and on top of that she finished after contact
