Elly Zeanchock: The 5’6 freshman point guard (class of 2023) is a high IQ player. She is able to read defenses and make plays for herself and her teammates. Running the show as a freshman is no easy feat, but she showed poise and good decision making for the tough position. Her ability to consistently knock down the 3 ball already, get into the paint and finish, she has a high ceiling with 3 more years of development coming. She plays AAU for the SC 76ers organization.
Brielle Windisch: The 5’8 freshman shooting guard (class of 2023) has great size and potential. She has proven to be a consistent 3 point threat for this young team. Towards the end of the season she had her career highs in points, 22, and number of made 3 balls, 5. She rebounds well for a guard, but with her size I think she can continue to improve in this area. If she continues to become even more consistent from deep, and works on defense a bit more, she has a lot she can show us over the next 3 years.
Tatum Postel: The 5’10 freshman shooting guard (class of 2023) is probably the team’s best shooter. She knocked down more 3’s than anyone else on her team, and at 33% a game. She moves well off the ball to get to open spots on the floor and her teammates find her to knock it down. With her hands up she looks more like 6’1 when on the court. She is so long and active she gets easy deflections and steals. She is also able to see over the defense and make reads smaller guards cannot make. One area of improvement moving forward is with her size she should grab more rebounds. She was an all-region selection this season, so it will be exciting to see what she will do over the next 3 years. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
Victoria Jordan Victoria Jordan 6'0" | PF Catawba Ridge | 2021 State SC : The 6’0 junior power forward (class of 2021) went viral back in the fall of 2019 for posting a video of her dunking over a guy, she is a tremendous athlete. Her season was cut short due to an injury, but even with that happening she was still the team’s leading scorer and rebounder. She almost averaged a double-double on the season. She can score in a number of ways including being able to take her defender off the bounce to the rim, posting up and finishing, and has a nice mid-range game. She is a great rebounder on both ends of the court, she gets easy put backs, or grabs it and can start the fast break. She was an all-region selection, and I expect leading into her final high school season she will have another successful year and be on someone’s college roster. She plays AAU for the SC 76ers organization.
