The director is a basketball guy and he does a pretty good job of coaching and connecting with the girls, he really knows how to get them to play to their utmost potential. The lower level teams are good as well, they play just as hard and want to be just like the top team and compete at the highest level for Adidas 3SSB. To Coach Derek Ballard, keep doing a good job with those girls and I look forward to watching them in the next few events you attend.
2021, 6’1, SF, Camarillo HS, Gabriela Jaquez Gabriela Jaquez 6'0" | SF Camarillo HS | 2022 State CA – Gaby did what she does best and that is score the ball with ease, she attacked the basket and used her old womans game by using the backboard for easy buckets. She was a mismatch for all of the guards who tried to hold her in the paint, she was a easy seal and finish over her opponents. She was aggressive on both sides of the ball and she dominated as one of the better players in the event. She is so long and athletic that it is unfair for most of the girls playing against her on the floor.
2021, 5’11, PG, West Torrance HS, Anaya James Anaya James 5'9" | PG West Torrance | 2021 State CA (U of Pacific Commit) – Anaya does what we believe she will do each and every time she is on the floor, she is agressive, has great vision and IQ, but her best asset is her ability to get everyone to play really hard and love it when they are doing it. She sees the floor so well, her teammates got easy buckets and with that going on, she was able to get her floater going and her midrange and three ball to go in. Just makes the right play each and every time on the floor.
2021, 5’11, SG, Valencia HS, Mailey Ballard Mailey Ballard 5'10" | SG Valencia HS | 2021 State CA – Mailey is the bruiser of the group, she is also the most lethal three point shooter with or without a hand in her face. She is very physical in the paint, she can post up smaller guards and abuse them like there is no one guarding her, she is also one of the better defenders on the team. Being the two-way player she is on the floor, it is always hard not to get her the ball for a sure bucket in the paint or kick out to her on the wing and let her stroke another 3 ball for the team.
2021, 5’7, PG, Leuzinger HS, D’arrah Allen D’arrah Allen 5'7" | PG Leuzinger | 2021 State CA – D’Arrah was quick and explosive on the floor, she is so fast most times it is like a blur as she blows by you to get an easy layup. She was able to knock down shot down, but is working on more consistency in the three ball, but midrange and drives to the basket are very solid. She was also a great on-ball defender for the team, she harassed the opposing guards for 94 feet each time she wanted to. D’Arrah is a player to watch, coaches, take a good look at her.
2021, 5’6, SG, Fairmont Prep HS, Kayla Ishibashi Kayla Ishibashi 5'6" | PG Fairmont Prep | 2021 State CA – Kayla is a mystery to some, but not to me, I first saw her playing at the Oxford Academy tournament during the Christmas break last year. She is crafty, she can score the ball, she is a good three point shooter and can knock down 3 or 4 before you know she is there. She uses her speed and uncanny athleticism to get her shot off or get to the rim and score thru contact on the drive. This kid will help any coach if they are in need of a kid who can make shots off the catch or screen.
2021, 6’3, C, Sierra Canyon HS, Theresa Berry Theresa Berry 6'2" | C Sierra Canyon | 2021 State CA – TT as they call her is the beast in the paint that is going to work hard for you and rebound, block shots and give you energy on the floor. She scored in the paint, she gave the team great defense, she changed shots in the paint against the bigger college girls and was able to mix it up and keep the bigger girls off the boards. Ran the floor well and set some crashing screens for her teammates, she is a team player, this kid has a big upside for this season.
