Below are five prospects who demand attention and are impactful in the lane and from beyond the arc. Each one of these prospects is listed as a forward for their teams.
Laura Nickel Laura Nickel 6'0" | PF Marshall | 2021 State WI | 6’0 | Marshall | Purple Aces
A physical forward with great athleticism. She has a great series of finishing moves at the rim, in the post and from the perimeter. She has great quickness for her size as well. She continues to gain confidence in her shot blocking and strength under the basket. She holds offers from IUPUI, University of Mary, St Cloud and Winona State.
Breanna Ackley Breanna Ackley 6'1" | SF Stratford | 2021 State WI | 6’3 | Stratford | WI Playmakers
Ackley is incredibly mobile and fast for her size. She plays with a lot of fluidity on the court. She has the ability to play on the perimeter and move like a guard, handle the ball well and knock down the perimeter shot. A positionless “forward”, Ackley has a high ceiling for playing multiple spots on the floor. She continues to improve her shot blocking ability as well.
Sarah Lazar Sarah Lazar 6'3" | SF Madison Edgewood | 2021 State WI | 6’3 | Edgewood | WI Academy
Lazar is a great athlete with incredible bounce and ability to finish high in the lane. She is an extremely physical player that is solid in the lane. She is a slasher through the paint and will look for opportunities to use her body to finish with contact. She can handle the ball on the perimeter as well. She plays with high energy and an electric motor that makes her very dynamic on the court. Lazar holds an offer from University of Vermont, Holy Cross, Saint Louis, Western Michigan, North Dakota State, UMass Lowell and IUPUI.
Teya Maas | 6’1 | Watertown | WI Flight Elite
Maas is an elite stretch four that is very comfortable mid-range and continues to develop on the perimeter. She has a polished post game inside and is a crafty finisher when contact presents itself. She is a reliable target for her teammates and keeps her hands high on both ends. She has a very consistent jumper and works well in the pick and roll with her guards. She finishes well through contact and plays with loads of energy. She continues to develop her technical skills and has a high ceiling for being a key shot blocker.
Jazzanay Seymore | 5’11 | Sun Prairie | WI Flight Elite
Seymore possesses plus athleticism that allows her to be a menace on the fast break and finish at the rim. She has quick foot speed that enables her to beat her defender to the basket from the free throw line or mid-range. Often undersized, Seymore has added a nice perimeter touch and ability to use a strong up and under move on the block. She brings a high amount of intensite on the court and rungs the lane well. On defense she has solid footwork, rebounds well and has good recovery speed.
