Full Package Summer League: Under the Radar Players

Last weekend I was invited out to Full Package AAU’s in-house Summer League to watch a few dozen prospects compete against good competition. Here are some ’Under the Radar’ players to watch from the games I saw: <strong>2021 Niki Manolis, 5’3” Guard, Maine South</strong> A True Point Guard in every sense of the term, Manolis is a great leader of the offense. She’s a terrific pass-first player who understands her role and plays hard on both ends of the court. Niki can handle the ball well in traffic and knock down shots from the outside when the opportunity presents itself. <strong>2021 Lydia Lueck, 5’6” Guard, Stevenson</strong> Lueck is a versatile Guard who can play on or off the ball with her well-rounded set of skills. She is a high IQ player who can attack the lane with confidence and shoot it well from deep at a high rate. Lydia constantly creates openings for herself on offense and plays sound on-ball defense on the other end. <strong>2022 Madeline Niedbala, 5’7” Guard, Rolling Meadows</strong> A Combo Guard who can do a little bit of everything on the offensive end of the floor, Niedbala displayed a great shot from deep during the games I watched. She is a quick ball-handler who can drive the lane well and finish at a high level at the rim. Madeline consistently makes the smart play and does whatever it takes to win. <strong>2021 Laura Strenk, 5’7” Guard, Regina Dominican</strong> Strenk is a strong off-ball Guard who you can rely on to handle the ball and regularly score from the wing. She attacks the paint hard and uses her toughness to finish through contact. Laura is an ultra-competitive athlete who fights for every rebound and loose ball on both ends of the floor. <strong>2021 [player_tooltip player_id="123593" first="Hannah" last="Schneiderman"], 5’6” Guard, New Trier</strong> A terrific shooter from deep, Schneiderman had a great night shooting the ball last weekend. She has good strength and ball-handling skills in traffic, which she uses to push the ball in transition. Hannah is also a high IQ player who can defend multiple positions due to her strength and athleticism. <strong>2022 Nicole Davis, 5’6” Guard, Rolling Meadows</strong> Davis is another True Point Guard who impressed with how well she plays the game on both ends. She’s a quick ball-handler with great court vision to set up her teammates for success. Nicole can also shoot it well from three and plays tough on-ball defense, constantly making opposing Point Guards uncomfortable. <strong>2023 Brooke Wahlund, 5’9” Guard, Lake Zurich</strong> An intriguing prospect who can play on the wing or in the post, Wahlund is a strong athlete who can match physicality with a lot of players. She runs the floor well in transition and always looks for the ball to come her way. Brooke attacks the lane hard and under control and does a nice job finishing at the rim. <strong>2024 Meegan Fahy, 5’6” Guard, Maine South</strong> An incoming Freshman at Maine South, Fahy is a tough Combo Guard who goes all out any time she is on the court. She is a big-time “Hustle Player” who handles the ball well and uses her athleticism to get in the lane and make plays.
