Aliyah Carter Aliyah Carter 5'7" | SG Hendrickson | 2023 State TX -5’7 (Cy Fair Elite 15U National Bush) Cedar Park HS
Carter is fast, with the ball, and more importantly under control. Her first step can leave defenders cemented to the floor yet she can hit teammates going full speed for easy assists her court vision goes beyond that as she threads the needle in the half-court set, can score off the dribble or shoot the mid-to long-range jumper plus she defends and plays the passing lane
Tristen Taylor Tristen Taylor 5'4" | PG Duncanville | 2023 State TX -5’3 (Team Lex Nation) Duncanville HS
Taylor has definitely taken her game to yet another level after helping lead her high school team to a state championship (UIL 6A) but her explosiveness off the dribble is second to none, she understands how to control the tempo and handles the ball well under pressure. She sees the floor, can take defenders with ease, or hit the outside shot
Macy Mercer-5’5 (HG Elite 2023) LD Bell HS
Mercer continues to elevate her game and her mindset of “you won’t outwork me” is what caught my eye about her a few years ago when she made my Tip Sheet. Here’s a tip, her upside is scary, she comes at you hard on both ends of the floor yet understands how to distribute the ball and when to push it but she also can score multiple ways in transition including the “stop and pop”
Avari Berry Avari Berry 5'7" | PG Pfugerville | 2023 State TX -5’6 (Pro Skills 15U Black)
Berry sold me in the 6th grade, I knew what was coming because she was poised at a very young age playing against older players and that has helped her to where she is now, hard to handle on the offensive end, as she creates for herself and teammates, setting them up nicely for easy baskets or showing that mid to long-range along with off the dribble
Victoria Flores Victoria Flores 5'7" | SG Duncanville | 2023 State TX -5’9 (Pro Skills 16U Black)
Flores dropped six threes in a row in the 7th grade or maybe seven in the 6th grade, I don’t exactly remember that but I do know I called her a #D1Lock, and her shooting ability and range have only gotten better as well as her ballhandling and passing as she’s doing everything more fluid and shows “she’s definitely back and going at a hunnid percent”
Savannah Catalon Savannah Catalon 5'8" | CG Mansfield Legacy | 2023 State TX -5’7 (Team Lex Nation) Mansfield Legacy HS
Catalon is like a scientist on the court, she’s focused and under control and directs the defense in so many ways but her strength and power give her numerous options as she can attack and dish or just hit teammates in the half-court setting. Solid ballhandling, under pressure plus an equally solid outside shooting game, adds fuel to the fire while her defense is pretty hot as well
Micah Russell-5’4 (Urban Heroes Alexander)
Russell was attacking the basket so strongly and finishing with authority that I had to take a double look. She sees the floor, under pressure and makes tough passes look easy but when you add ” she handles the ball in transition and can make the pass going full speed, what else” well she can shoot the midrange, she plays the passing lane, and brings the heat on defense
