Brooklin Brown-5’9
Brown has a whole lot of skills in her toolbox because she’s long and athletic, one more time, that’s the base and her first step can just leave players cemented to floor yet her athletic ability speaks volumes because of her body control and making acrobatic finishes. She creates her shot under pressure and has a nice pull-up jumper that she can deliver from mid to long range but watching her grab a rebound and go coast to coast was definitely a treat, especially when you throw in she goes hard so seeing her attack and finish after contact was certainly pleasing as well as her playing the passing lane which led to numerous baskets going the other way
Jade Miller Jade Miller 5'6" | PG Manvel | 2022 State TX -5’5
Miller’s poise as an elementary school player took me away and I’ve watched her do things in the clutch so many times that it doesn’t even excite me because I already know and the event, her long ball was clicking as well as her extended range but she plays the combo and understands her role at either position but the ball-handling, under pressure, is solid as well as her seeing the floor and she relishes being in pressure situations but she attacked the basket strong, she created her shot and dropped a few from BTA as well as hit the midrange nicely. Her overlooked defensive skills by the novice don’t go unnoticed as she applied baseline to baseline pressure, had numerous steals and played that ever so important passing lane
Peyton Overton Peyton Overton 5'7" | CG Dulles | 2022 State TX -5’8
Overton was an offensive terror at a young age that simply blew me away at times so I already knew what was there and everyone that was watching had a chance to see it on Saturday. She can take defenders whenever she wants and finish with either hand, after contact but she also creates her shot while being tightly guarded and showed a solid mid to long range performance but it doesn’t stop there as she applied heat on defense and played the passing lane not to leave out she battled on the boards for rebounds against taller players.but the intensity she played with told me a whole lot
Brianna Wilson Brianna Wilson 5'11" | PF Akins Early College | 2022 State TX -6’0
Wilson showed me enough at the Duel State Girls Combine to add her to the 2022 list before the deadline because she played as if everything was on the line and that’s the #THROWBACK mentality I love to see in players. She has a college ready body, she stands at the magic number, that’s 6’0 for those in the back of the class who don’t pay attention but you better pay attention to her on the court because of her imposing presence that just jumps right out at you once the games begin and she battling for everything, finishing strong after contact and defending
