Name: Lachelle Austin
Position: Shooting Guard
School: Wayne Memorial
Grad Year: 2021
Recruiting: Eastern Michigan University commit
Strengths: Austin is a terrific 2 way player that will find a way to contribute on both ends. On offense, she can break her defender down off the dribble and attack the rim. She’s a high percentage shooter from behind the arc as well. Austin takes pride in her defense and can be relied on as a lockdown on ball defender.
Name: Alexis Roberts Alexis Roberts CG Farmington Hills Mercy | 2021 State MI
Position: Point Guard
School: Mercy High School
Grad Year: 2021
Recruiting: Open recruitment – Schools in search of a grinding lefty will want to take a long look at Roberts.
Strengths: Roberts played well at the point all summer, but really had a breakout performance at the Run for the Roses. She likes to initiate the offense with her ball handling. Roberts has a knack for reading the defense off the pick and roll, where she instinctively knows when to drive, shoot, or make the pass. She has 3 point range that must be respected by the defense. Roberts is a crafty lefty that knows how to run an offense.
Name: Heavan Rogers
Position: Forward
School: North Farmington High School
Grad Year: 2021
Recruiting: Open recruitment – If a program at the next level wants a forward that plays with intensity and is willing to do the dirty work, Rogers is a great candidate.
Strengths: Rogers is a glue type player that is willing to scrap and do all the little things needed to get a W. When you watch her play, you’ll probably think ’Dennis Rodman’. She’s relentless when she sees a loose ball and she can flat out dominate the boards. Rogers is quickly developing in her offensive game. In fact, at the Run for the Roses, she averaged a double-double.
