To say they shared the wealth is an understatement, as they made a lot of plays for one another and consistently throughout the game. Seven of their players ended up with seven points or more, as they cruised to a 70 – 31 victory.
Natalie Lathrop Natalie Lathrop 6'3" | C Tualatin | 2021 State OR was active early, with a block and two trips to the free throw line. Sydney Burns Sydney Burns 5'8" | PG Wilsonville | 2021 State OR , who is often the engine of the teams that she plays for, showed why as she had two brilliant passes in transition from half court or further – to Bishop at the rim. Bishop and Berry were active around the rim, collecting rebounds and finishing while showing fluidity in the paint. Hassmann and Starr hit along the arc and Burns had another highlight pass, this time to Starr who completed an and-one sequence. Berry sank two free throws and the half ended on a 25-foot prayer for Indiana Elite to keep things close as Oregon Elite was in favor 25 – 20.
Maya Hoff Maya Hoff 6'1" | PG Southridge | 2021 State OR was one of the surprises for Oregon Elite in the second half, as she found several ways to contribute, including rebounding and sending off passes in perfection to her teammates. Lathrop began the half with an offensive board and put back and a mini jumper in the paint. On the next two ways, Burns found Berry and Starr inside the paint for back to back scores. Oregon Elite had another magnificent display of teamplay as Bishop blocked a shot, recovered by Berry who threw it up the court to Starr, who found a streaking Doutt to the basket for a score.
Burns found Bishop from halfcourt as they showed the special chemistry between the two. Fulcher and McClave had some back to back as Cami found Ana in for a three and Ana returned the favor on the next play, then Fulcher fed Ana in the post. Hassmann then finds Lathrop in the post, Hope steals the inbounds and Hoff finds McClave in the corner. Hoff then impressed by grabbing a board and throwing an amazing pass to Hassmann, who hit a nice lay-up despite contact. On the next possession, Hoff threw it up to McClave in transition, then Hoff found Fulcher in the paint. Oregon Elite coasts to a 70 – 31 victory.

Maya Hoff Maya Hoff 6'1" | PG Southridge | 2021 State OR is the ultimate team player, who sets others up with her unselfish and calculated play. She definitely had their moments, including three back to back to back plays where she found others in stride along their way to the basket or in favorable scoring positions. Hoff is an excellent rebounding due to her height for a guard, plays at a nice smooth pace, but is also pushing the tempo at a nice constant pace She also showed the ability to score when her number is called, or when she called her own number.
Burns to Bishop
The Burns/Bishop tandem has been shown the last several seasons as the Wilsonville duo have become more than familiar with one another. This was shown on full display as Burns threw some absolute bullets to Bishop from halfcourt in the transition setting before the defense could set up. Bishop at this point knows when and where the ball will be delivered to her and thankfully the defense had no clue. In addition to Bishop, Burns delivers such passes to anyone that is in scoring position, but her connection with Bishop is truly a special one that anyone can see while watching the duo out on the court.
Teamplay on Full Effect
Everyone got theirs during this game as they were many significant offensive contributions, but the most impressive feat was how seamless they were making plays for each other. Making the extra pass, doing it through fundamentals, but also adding a certain flair. They were running on all gears, making it look easy, but most importantly, making plays for each other. This Oregon Elite Navy group is a very deep group that now understands each other’s tendencies and knows how exactly to take advantage of their close bond.
