There was talent at all levels in the building and college coaches all over the place. In its first time in Michigan, the girls Top 250 was a huge success. Metro Detroit was well represented and the spotlight will be put on each and every one of them that attended.
Rayah Kolbusz Rayah Kolbusz SG Riverview | 2022 State MI (2022, 5-8, Riverview)
Kolbusz played the 1 and 2 at the Expo. I like the way she slides her feet which enables her to stay in front of her opponent on defense. She has good range on her shot and her passing skills are very nice. She plays hard. She is a very good player with a high upside and college coaches should take notice.
India Respress India Respress SF Chandler Park | 2021 State MI (2021, 5-8, Chandler Park Academy)
Repress runs the floor very well. Defensively she can guard anybody on the floor. She displayed good footwork. She gets the rebound and pushes the ball with either a finish or pass to an open teammate. Offensively she can play inside or outside. She is a solid, well rounded player with a high basketball IQ.
Ciara Hardy Ciara Hardy 5'10" | CG Romulus | 2021 State MI (2021, 5-9, Romulus)
Hardy was a combo guard at the Expo. She plays very hard. She got several steals just by hustling back on defense. She is an excellent dribbler. Hardy sees the floor very well. The mechanics on her jump shot is good and she has no problem driving to the basket. She plays hard all the time. She is college ready.
Alyssa Matuza Alyssa Matuza PG Troy | 2022 State MI (2022, 5-4, Troy)
The first thing I noticed about Matuzza is her knowledge of the game. She is fundamentally sound. She is a floor general. She can dribble at a college level and her passing ability is off the charts. She also worked hard on the defensive end. When she is on the court she battles.
Taylor Dinda Taylor Dinda 5'7" | PG Lake Orion | 2023 State MI (2023, 5-7, Lake Orion)
Dinda is a scrappy player who goes to the glass, plays good hard nose defense and she gets after loose balls. She played with poise and confidence. She is a good basketball player now and she is going to get even better.
Ella Burger Ella Burger SG Macomb Dakota | 2022 State MI (2022, 5-9, Macomb Dakota)
College scouts take note. Ella Burger Ella Burger SG Macomb Dakota | 2022 State MI game has gotten better and better. She has an all-around game that is suited for the college level. She plays the game hard on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. She is also a leader.
Sydney Brown Sydney Brown 5'9" | SG Northville | 2023 State MI (2023, 5-10, Northville)
Brown is a fluid player who is constantly moving. I love the way she keeps her hands up on defense and this leads to deflections and blocks. She is both an inside and outside player. She doesn’t mind mixing it up in the paint. When she gets stronger she will start to dominate.
