Continue ReadingThe forwards of the 2022 class are an eclectic group as they bring different things to the table as they have special qualities that separate themselves form one another. Lindsey Wilson Lindsey Wilson 6'0" | PF Mountainside | 2022 State OR has been an anchor for Oregon Elite as a superb low-post scorer who has a nose for scoring in her spot along the block. Sarah Lamet Sarah Lamet 6'3" | C Tigard | 2022 State OR is a forward with tremendous size who will be quite the player once she puts her game all together. Alia Harris Alia Harris 5'10" | SF South Eugene | 2022 State OR is an incredible two way player whose game is fluid in the sense that defensively is all leads up to her offensive game. Gracie Arnold Gracie Arnold 6'1" | PF Cottage Grove | 2022 State OR is a defensive specialist who has made huge strides this summer with Oregon Elite. Tanesha Coley Tanesha Coley 5'11" | SF South Medford | 2022 State OR is a cornerstone for South Medford who has all the tools of a significant forward.
Lindsey Wilson Lindsey Wilson 6'0" | PF Mountainside | 2022 State OR 2022 6’0″ PF Oregon Elite/Mountainside HS – Lindsey had a productive summer playing with Oregon Elite Gold, where she continue to harness her skills in the paint. Her role was similar to what she did for Mountainside, she simply sharpened her tools over the progression of the AAU season. An athletic, three-sport athlete who has good strength that uses this exceptionally in the post, scoring well off second chance opportunities. She was a staple in the post for Oregon Elite as she is a double-double threat night in, night out.
Sarah Lamet Sarah Lamet 6'3" | C Tigard | 2022 State OR 2022 6’3″ C Clutch Players/Tigard HS – Lamet is project at the center-position, but clearly she has the intangibles all at 6 foot 3. She has good scoring instincts in the post, as she squares up and turns around the shoulder well and has a decent touch around the basket. A developing defender and rim protector, Lamet looks to be a formidable forward who needs simply more reps and practice under her belt.
Alia Harris Alia Harris 5'10" | SF South Eugene | 2022 State OR 2022 5’10″ SF South Eugene HS – Alia is a workhorse for a South Eugene team that has some talent, as they took South Medford to some close battles throughout their last season. Give Harris credit as a player who plays all 94 feet of the court, as she is tough as nails and just as race-conditioned as Seabiscuit. Gives it her all when she is on the court – great length and size and plays well within the transition. Two way player.
Gracie Arnold Gracie Arnold 6'1" | PF Cottage Grove | 2022 State OR 2022 6’1″ PF Oregon Elite/Cottage Grove HS – Gracie was opposite the post of Lindsey Wilson Lindsey Wilson 6'0" | PF Mountainside | 2022 State OR for Oregon Elite Gold, as she made some of the biggest progressions in the class of 2022 as anyone possibly could. As a seemingly hidden gem in 4A Cottage Grove, Gracie showed that she is a brute force defensively. She has great discipline and stifles opponents with her positioning and ability to take up the paint. A developing offensive player who has the tools.
Tanesha Coley Tanesha Coley 5'11" | SF South Medford | 2022 State OR 2022 5’11″ SF South Medford HS – Left handed post who uses her body well as she is physical and understands how to use this to her advantage on both ends of the floor. A calculated rebounder who knows how to mix it up in the paint and scores well on the block overall. Still developing offensive, but has the tools as she is aggressive and knows her role as a constant cog within the South Medford offense.
