Teams from Nike, Under Armour, and Adidas along the West Coast have all jumped ship onto this up and coming league and the match-ups we have been treated to are truly something to take note of. In Session III, we had several stand-outs, none bigger perhaps than Allie Hueckman Allie Hueckman 5'10" | SG Burns | 2021 State OR ’s inspiring 22 point first half effort versus NW Blazers in a nail biter. Emi Bishop continued her low-post presence with Oregon Elite Gold as Anna Dazey Anna Dazey 5'7" | PG Corvallis | 2021 State OR was an instructive point guard for Oregon Elite Bronze. Schuyler Berry Schuyler Berry 6'2" | C Grant | 2021 State OR was a technician down-low as Reese Ericson Reese Ericson 5'6" | PG Lakeridge | 2022 State OR was the steadfast point guard we have all come to know. Leah Doutt Leah Doutt 5'8" | PG McNary | 2021 State OR was another stand-out who impressed with her ability to make her mark on the game.
Allie Hueckman Allie Hueckman 5'10" | SG Burns | 2021 State OR 2021 5’10″ SG Oregon Elite Navy/Burns HS – Anytime you score 22 points in the first half alone against a formidable foe (NW Blazers) you certainly deserve recognition on such a list. Hueckman is an impeccable shooter with incredible athletic ability, as the Burns standout uses her jumping abilities flawlessly into her three sports (basketball, volleyball, track and field). She has a multitude of ways to get it done with floaters, mid-range jumpers – all yielded together by her unmatched leaping ability.
Emilia Bishop Emilia Bishop 6'1" | PF Wilsonville | 2021 State OR 2021 6’2″ PF Oregon Elite Gold/Wilsonville HS – Emi suited up yet again for Oregon Elite Gold as a veteran whose job is plain and simple – but she does it at such a tremendous rate. The Wilsonville product is counted upon to rebound on both ends and score at the rim, which she does thanks to her solid frame and disciplined demeanor on the court. Her 17 point, 12 rebound game versus EBO 16U was representative of her efforts over the course of the weekend.
Anna Dazey Anna Dazey 5'7" | PG Corvallis | 2021 State OR 2021 5’7″ PG Oregon Elite Bronze/Corvallis HS – Dazey is an energetic player who plays with a lot of resilience and flavor out on the floor, as she fires passes in all directions and is an animated on-ball defender. She is constantly making the right plays and reads and really knows how to facilitate a team with her energy. Her 4 point, 4 rebound, 4 assist effort versus Cal Sparks SS24 Gold was indicative of her ability to change the pacing on the floor by pure effort alone.
Schuyler Berry Schuyler Berry 6'2" | C Grant | 2021 State OR 2021 6’2″ C Oregon Elite Navy/Grant HS – The Seattle Pacific commit has the ability to anchor the paint as a defensively engaged forward and also showcases great passing abilities as well as the uncanny ability to score down-low. She has great footwork and patience in the post and had a sensational full court pass that led to a score in one of the games. Her 6 point, 11 rebound, 3 assist, 2 block, 1 steal effort showcased her all-around ability to make a stake in the claim.
Reese Ericson Reese Ericson 5'6" | PG Lakeridge | 2022 State OR 2022 5’5″ PG Oregon Elite Gold/Lakeridge HS – Reese continued to conduct her team in a timely fashion, as she is a point guard who has a sixth sense for when her teammates are open out on the floor. She never waits for the defense to set up, distributes the ball up the court and hands out assists like they are going out of style. In their last game of the weekend, she saved her best for last, filling up the stat-sheet with a 7 point, 3 rebound, 7 assist, 4 steal performance.
Honorable Mention
Leah Doutt Leah Doutt 5'8" | PG McNary | 2021 State OR 2021 5’8″ SG Oregon Elite Gold/McNary HS – The Salem native has had a good showing for Oregon Elite Gold as an established shooter and scorer, also with the ability to make some impressive finishes around the rim – with some style points. She rebounds well and knows how to play in the scheme of the offensive as a varied guard with passing knowledge/skills. Her 6 point, 5 rebound, 2 assist performance was telling of her all-around game.
