With some already polished prospects and young, developing prospects, these two teams feature some talent that should be recognized. Both teams have All-Region prospects. Let’s get to know the prospects.
McKenna Tollerud McKenna Tollerud 5'11" | C Benson County | 2022 State ND — (5’7/PG/2022) — Hankinson — 7.3 ppg. — 4 rpg. — 54 assists — A good sized guard that brings the ball up the court. Has adequate ball-handling skills and can hit an open three. Effective against a zone defense as she is a controlled ball-handler and passer and can lineup open threes with accuracy. Looks for teammates and exploits openings and mistakes by the defense.
Kya Mauch Kya Mauch 5'10" | SF Hankinson | 2022 State ND — (5’10/PF/2022) —Hankinson — 16.5 ppg. — 11.5 rpg. — All-Region team — Kya is a versatile four that is skilled and can play inside and roam out to three. Can defend skilled and quick guards on the perimeter. A solid and skilled passer, making good decisions with her passes. Very active on the boards and finishes well. An All-Region prospect as a Sophomore, so she is definitely a quality prospect in the state.
Katelyn Tingley Katelyn Tingley 5'7" | SG Enderlin | 2021 State ND — (5’7/SG/2021) — Enderlin — 14ppg. — 5.1rpg. — 51 steals — 49 assists — 37 threes — 1,000 point scorer — All-Region team — A go-to scorer for Enderlin that can create her own offense off of the dribble and has range from three. She looks to score first as she gets the ball. Gets in a triple-threat position immediately looking for her shot or attack to open things up. Can be slightly erratic at times and needs to slow herself down. If she tightens up her game a little she could really blossom.
Kaylie Schlecht Kaylie Schlecht 5'6" | CG Enderlin | 2021 State ND — (5’7/PG/2021) — Enderlin — 8 ppg. — 37 assists — 32 threes — A point guard that pushes the tempo all game. Plays one speed and that is full-throttle. A threat from three as well as she sunk 32 threes last season. Not flashy with her handles, but is a good decision maker and accurate passer on the perimeter.
Genevieve Gruba Genevieve Gruba 5'10" | SF Enderlin | 2023 State ND — (5’9/SF/2023) — Enderlin — 11.3 ppg. — 10.2 rpg. — A long, lanky prospect that has already produced and it seems like she has the potential to improve drastically. Has an unorthodox type of game from the inside and outside but is very efficient and gets the job done. Her greatest development could come from her strength and playing strength as time progresses. A producer at a young age so it will be fun to see how she develops.
