Four Oregon-based AAU teams were in attendance in that of Oregon Elite Navy, Oregon Elite Gold, Clutch Cardinal, and Clutch Rose as they had some riveting individual performances from the Beaver State. Dani Starr showed why she is one of the state’s most consistent and fierce scorers with a big showing this past weekend. Emilia Bishop Emilia Bishop 6'1" | PF Wilsonville | 2021 State OR produced as a two-way forward with a lot of upside as a rebounder and scorer – things that will translate at the next level. Emma Sixta Emma Sixta 5'10" | SG Jesuit | 2023 State OR had a superb weekend as a perimeter scorer who uses her length and skills well as an established defender and facilitator. Alexa Borter Alexa Borter 5'11" | PF Beaverton | 2021 State OR continued to display her abilities as a perimeter player who has the ability to help out in the paint on both ends. Hope Hassmann is tough as nails and shows up every game as an aggressive and polished guard.
Dani Starr 2022 6’1″ SF Oregon Elite Navy/Sheldon HS – the Eugene native was Oregon Elite Navy’s most prolific scorer as she did it with tremendous consistency – ending up as their leading scorer over the course of the weekend. Starr averaged 9.8 points and 5.8 rebounds as a collected scorer who contributes consistently as a three-level scorer with poise and confidence that is hard to match.
Emilia Bishop Emilia Bishop 6'1" | PF Wilsonville | 2021 State OR 2021 6’2″ PF Oregon Elite Gold/Wilsonville HS – the Northern Colorado commit averaged a solid 9.3 points and 7.3 rebounds this past weekend as she is a double double threat every game who brings a disciplined and refined approach in the paint. She is a consistent blend of size, length, and skill at the forward position who uses her strength and finesse in the paint to score and rebound.
Emma Sixta Emma Sixta 5'10" | SG Jesuit | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10″ SG Clutch Rose/Jesuit HS – the flashy Jesuit guard averaged 10.5 points as she provided as a leader offensively who can not only score at all three-levels but do it with a certain flair and demeanor. Her bread and butter on offense is her three-point shot and she knows how to facilitate as she has a sixth sense of where her teammates are on the floor.
Alexa Borter Alexa Borter 5'11" | PF Beaverton | 2021 State OR 2021 5’11″ SG Clutch Cardinal/Beaverton HS – the versatile forward from Beaverton averaged a solid 7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists for Clutch Cardinal – very indicative of her ability to affect the game in numerous ways and make her team better. She can score inside/out, defends with great effort, and rebounds and facilitates as a team oriented player who plays hard.
Honorable Mention
Hope Hassmann 2023 5’10″ SG Oregon Elite Navy/Tahoma HS – the high energy, cerebral guard was a constant source of scoring and defense for Oregon Elite Navy as she plays like a veteran despite being only a sophomore. She is a piercing guard who attacks the basket without fear and can sink from any angle alongside the arc. High upside guard who is very much so an activated two-way player.
