Continue ReadingI always offer full transparency, I don’t post nonsense that is abundant yet absorbed by the novice so I haven’t actually seen Hendrickson play in person this season however I can still evaluate the squad because of two things, there is no me and I’m that good so as they continue their winning streak heading into the Christmas break, let me just break down some of the reasons why they could make a very deep run, barring injuries
Zoe Nelson Zoe Nelson 6'1" | PF Hendrickson | 2021 State TX -6’1 WHATEVER-senior
Nelson has the size, she has the skills and she has the ability to simply take over games whenever SHE wants to, I’ve been saying that for years and of course, I’ve been correct yet what she also does is make those around her better because she can play all 5 positions effectively at this level, she handles the ball under pressure, she sees the floor and makes the right pass to the right people, and she attacks off the dribble and finishes after contact. Her mid to long-range game is solid, so is her rebounding on both ends as well as applying serious heat on the defensive end
Makayla Ward-5’9 CG-senior
Ward blew me away over the club season, not just because of the breeze I felt when she went by going full speed with the ball but because she plays under control and runs the point efficiently but she also can score, off the dribble with her explosiveness, that first step is hard to handle, as well as her creating her shot for the mid to long-range jumper and seeing the stop and pop in transition is pretty impressive
Lanay Fuller-6’0 PF-senior
Fuller added something to her game every season I caught her playing club ball with Austin Elite and watching her development and progression, not to leave out desire just took me back some years because she showed me that she wanted it on the court and she gave it to defenders punishing inside the paint for finishes with players hanging on her. She also does a good job at defending as well as rebounding on both ends of the court
Erica Suarez-5’7 PG-junior
Suarez is a smooth ballhandler that falls into that pass first prototype PG yet she has shown she can score as well. She plays within herself, understands how to control the tempo, and understands how to get hers in the flow but what she also understands is how to read defenders and with her quick hands, she comes up with steals galore
Aliyah Carter Aliyah Carter 5'7" | SG Hendrickson | 2023 State TX -5’6 CG-sophomore
Carter joined the Top 100 on my last update after showing me just how talented she was in the club season and after transferring from Cedar Park, she has helped ignite the Hawks to a 9-0 run and I truly understand why. She has amazing speed, she’s under control, and in the open court, you can just about forget about staying with her because she’s fast, with the ball and it helps when you can attack and finish after contact or hit the stop and pop going full speed yet her defense is not to be overlooked because of her “pressure will burst a pipe” mindset and the flooding will continue
