Arborbrook Christian Academy is a team that you need to see this season. Here are some of the athletes that I saw at the Diamonds Classic, but their roster goes well beyond this with the young stars that they have up and coming.

[player_tooltip player_id="219809" first="Abriel" last="Thrash"] (W, 2022) continues to make plays no matter where she is on the court or who is guarding her. She is the most lethal on the sides of the basket where she can show off a turn around jump shot or simply put back shots after grabbing an offensive rebound. She does a great job drawing contact allowing her to get some points from the free throw line. Her ability to drive by opponents was important down the stretch of the game. She rebounds on both ends of the court, too, making sure that her team always has a chance to gain possession.

Anna Phibbs (F, 2022) was showing off her post moves inside the paint using good footwork and ball handles to create points. She hustled after every rebound. She made some nice cuts to the block to grab an entry pass and score. On defense, her presence was certainly felt with the blocks that she was able to cause making it difficult for opponents to score against her.

[player_tooltip player_id="197343" first="Monique" last="Cepeda"] (W, 2022) seems to be involved in all of her opponents’ possessions whether she is grabbing the steal or causing a deflection. Her steals turn into fast break opportunities as she can certainly push the ball up the court herself running from end to end with ease. When running set offensive plays, she seems to be the one who can always bail her team out when it seems that their play is breaking down.

Madison Owen (PG, 2026) did an excellent job getting passes into her teammates, and she showed patience when letting a play develop. She also showed off her shooting hitting three clutch three pointers in the game to let her opponents know that her team was not going away easy. Her vision of the court is already impressive at such a young age, and she was not intimidated at all when playing against a much older team.
