We want to offer up thoughts and highlight those players from each class and each grade level some publicity to try and help them gain the attention of a college coach or two.

Delaney Scherf Delaney Scherf 5'7" | PG Central Elkader | 2023 State IA , Central Elkader (2023)
Central Elkader’s Delaney Scherf Delaney Scherf 5'7" | PG Central Elkader | 2023 State IA has been causing problems for opposing teams this year on the hardwood. The sophomore standout has 42 steals in 10 games, adding 14 blocked shots.
She also shines on the offensive end, scoring 153 points with 37 rebounds and 23 assists. Scherf has knocked down 16 triples and is shooting nearly 82 percent at the free throw stripe.
Jaeden Ferris Jaeden Ferris 5'8" | PG Westwood | 2023 State IA , Westwood (2023)
Jaeden Ferris Jaeden Ferris 5'8" | PG Westwood | 2023 State IA has picked right up where she left off as a freshman, leading Westwood to seven wins already. The talented prospect has scored 158 points on 42 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent shooting from the 3-point line.
Ferris is also quick to find the open teammate, dishing out 39 assists with 25 steals and 26 rebounds on the year.
Kinzie Theeler Kinzie Theeler 5'9" | SG Whiting | 2023 State IA , Whiting (2023)
Whiting sophomore Kinzie Theeler Kinzie Theeler 5'9" | SG Whiting | 2023 State IA is well on her way to a big-time season. Through eight games, Theeler already has 128 points, 59 rebounds, 18 assists, 18 blocked shots and 17 steals.
Theeler is shooting 43 percent from the field and is also active in getting to the free throw line with 45 attempts on the season to date.
Sydney Hurd, Storm Lake St. Mary’s (2023)
Storm Lake St. Mary’s has an interesting piece to keep an eye on in 6-foot-2 sophomore Sydney Hurd. The talented post player already has 22 blocked shots in just six games this season.
Hurd is also shooting 50 percent from the field, recording 83 points with 59 rebounds and nine steals. She’s doing a nice job of staying out of foul trouble, as well, which is allowing her to produce on the court.
Mia Boulton Mia Boulton 5'3" | SG Montezuma | 2023 State IA , Montezuma (2023)
Mia Boulton Mia Boulton 5'3" | SG Montezuma | 2023 State IA was a key piece off the bench for Montezuma as a freshman last year, producing in a variety of roles. That has expanded this season with Boulton taking her game to the next level in the process.
Now a starter, Boulton has scored 109 points already, shooting over 42 percent from the field with 28 made 3-pointers. She also has 32 rebounds, 36 steals and 22 assists in 10 games.
