Class of 2022 Rankings: Underrated Players Part 1

Before the season begins, if everything falls through due to the pandemic. These players show they can lead their team further or to contend for another title. Every game these ladies bring the energy, and sense of urgency to put their team in the best position to win.
It’s great to hear that the players have found a home to continue their basketball career at the next level. They can play among the best in Colorado. Here are some players that are underrated coming into this new season. Keep your eyes open!
Taylor Ray Taylor Ray 6'0" | SF Highlands Ranch | 2022 State CO (SG, 5’11″, Highlands Ranch)
Ray is a player with great length making it tough for opponents on the both ends of the floor. She shows that she is a threat in transition with or without the ball in her hands. Having good length she was the second leader in steals per game last season. Ray is a versatile player who can shoot the 3 ball, and slash to get to the rim. Last year she was the second leader in points per game averaging 13.4 on 131-of-316 (41 percent) from the floor.
Ny’Era West Ny’Era West 5'9" | CG Rangeview | 2022 State CO (G, 5’7″, Rangeview)
West a player that is a threat in transition with or without the ball in her hands. She has good foot speed making her tough on both ends of the floor. With her foot speed she is able to jump in passing lanes, and make it uncomfortable for teams to advance the ball in the backcourt. She averaged 16.8 points per game last season shooting 144-of-306 (47 percent) from the field. West helped her team advance to the sweet 16 in the 19’-20’ season. To go along with her points per game she also averaged 4.3 steals per game.
Grace Talbot Grace Talbot 5'6" | PG Chatfield | 2022 State CO (G, 5’6″, Chatfield)
Talbot last season was the leading scorer for her team averaging 19.2 points per game on 156-of-416 (38 percent) from the floor last season. She shows that she is a capable shooter from behind the 3 point line, shooting 31 percent from behind the arc. Talbot can get it going on the offense end, and has good instinct on the floor. She averaged 2.6 assist, and 3.2 steals per game.
Anisa Turner Anisa Turner 5'7" | SG George Washington | 2022 State CO (G, 5’7″, George Washington)
Turner is an athletic player that moves her feet well on the defensive end to create discomfort for teams. Playing on a team that can score in a variety of ways, averaging 9.5 points per game shooting 39 percent from the floor, and 2.7 steals per game. Tuner has tremendous upside to her game, and add value to her team.
Deb Altshuler Deb Altshuler 5'8" | CG Erie | 2022 CO (SG, 5’9″, Erie)
Altshuler playing on a high powered offense team who averaged 67.1 points per game last season. Altshuler is an efficient player when she is on the floor, and shows that she is a good rebounding guard. Last season she averaged 11.3 points per game on 117-of-256 (46 percent) from the floor. Altshuler is a player that can get it going from behind the arc, stretching teams out. She shot the ball 39-of-110 (35 percent) from the behind the 3 point line.
