Jillian Hamilton Jillian Hamilton 5'11" | SF Pana | 2022 State IL is a 5’11 2022 4/3 from Pana/Indiana Elite Havoc. Jillian led the day in scoring with 44 points in the 3 games for 14.6 per game. Jillian is a very unique player that can play as a post and use her strength and athleticism to score. The huge value in Jillian as a college prospect is her improving perimeter game. Despite being a bit undersized for a high level stretch 4, her speed and ability to defend make her a must see. Jillian routinely intercepts passes and takes the ball the other way quickly. Her 3-point shot has become a consistent weapon. She is a must on the D2 recruiting radar and an interesting prospect at the least on the lower D1 level
Kate Littleton Kate Littleton 5'6" | CG Paris | 2022 State IL is a 5’7 2022 Guard from Paris/Indiana Elite Havoc. Kate was on fire in the first and third games on Saturday. During those two games she consistently hit 3-pointers, at times well behind the line. For the day, despite no official stats, it is certain that Kate was over 50% from behind the arc. She scored 42 points for the three games for an average of 14 per game. Kate is not just a spot up shooter, she is quick and versatile. She can play defense and put the ball on the floor when the defense crowds her on the 3-point line. Kate is a very good fit at the D3/NAIA level where her size will not be as big of a factor and her high level of skill can pay dividends.
Anna Blank Anna Blank 6'0" | CG Olney | 2022 State IL is a 6’0 2022 Point Guard from Olney/Indiana Elite Havoc. Anna is a verbal commit to UT-Chattanooga. Anna is a strong scoring point guard that is a match up night mare at the high school level. Being tall and strong she is hard for most smaller guards to defend. Likewise she is very hard for most bigger players to defend as she has very good handles and can beat them off the dribble. Anna can score at all 3 levels but is best suited by using her dribble to get into the mid range where she can pull up and hit the jumper or get to the rim. For the day Anna had 39 points for 13 per game. The more she does attack off the dribble the more the space will exist for the 3 point shot to be a weapon too. At times she settled for the 3 early in games. With that said I also really enjoy watching a player like Anna be very unselfish and do everything she can to get her teammates involved and have scoring chances.
Madyson Rigdon Madyson Rigdon 5'8" | CG Paris | 2022 State IL is a 5’8 2022 Guard from Paris/Indiana Elite Havoc. Madyson is an excellent defender that has also improved her ability to score the basketball. She scored 38 points on the day for an average of 12.6 per game. Madyson can run and score on the break, but has also improved her game in the half court. She is capable of scoring off the dribble and has a nice shot that she can hit from the mid range out past the 3-point line. Madyson plays the game with a high level of effort and is very aggressive. This leads to her ability to be a high level defender but also she can get loose balls and rebounds that are huge from the guard spot. Madyson has attention from D3/NAIA level schools already and would be a great fit for any team at that level looking for tough off guard.
Lexie Niebrugge Lexie Niebrugge 5'7" | CG Teutopolis | 2021 State IL is a 5’8 2021 Guard from Teutopolis. Lexie is a very skilled and smart player that is able to use her system and talents to really excel. She is more strength than speed but her brains and recognition of the right plays tends to get her where she needs to be when she needs to be there. Lexie has a nice shot that at times can be a bit streaky but she has been known as a shooter since she had a major part in the T-Town run to the state finals as a sophomore. Lexi scored 35 points for an 11.6 average after a slow start of only 4 points in her first game. During the second game she did a great job of getting the line and converting her free throws and in her last game of the day she hit 4 three-pointers. Lexie comes from a great program that teaches the game the right way and would be a good get for a JC/D3/NAIA team.
There will be articles coming on Pool B all stars and the top defenders and top small college prospects still to come from week one of the CRC Round Robin event.
