Creek with the Big 12 backcourt of Rori Harmon Rori Harmon 5'7" | PG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #12 Nation TX and Kyndall Hunter Kyndall Hunter 5'8" | SG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #23 Nation TX have been sending messages before they entered high school, both were called #D1Locks by me before they even played a middle school game and both have signed with Texas so what’s Foster’s secret?
Kaiya Wynn-6’0 PG senior
Wynn is a transfer from Tennessee who also signed with the University of Tennessee last month and she’s coming off of a 40 point outburst against Hightower. She’s averaging just under 30 ppg and watching her on film told me a lot because she attacks the basket relentlessly, can finish with either hand, and when you factor in she’s long and athletic, can handle the ball under pressure as well as create her shot, from mid to long-range, she’s definitely an added boost for this talented squad as she’s averaging a double-double, over 11 RPG
Alicia Blanton Alicia Blanton 5'8" | CG Foster | 2021 State TX -5’11 SF senior
Blanton is solid across the board, she always has been and like Wynn, she too is averaging a double-double, 14/11 but her ability to create her shot as well as knock it down consistently over the years has been something to see because she also can mix it up and take defenders with ease. I’ve enjoyed watching her for years, her hard nose defense, her wanting the shot in the clutch and delivering and just her basketball knowledge will all fit in nicely at Louisiana Lafayette
Collins Clark-5’11 P senior
Clark stands just under the magic number, which is 6’0 and has been an additional scorer around the basket as she’s just under 10 PPG. She’s also one of the teams leading rebounders
Sydney Freeman-5’8 SG junior
Freeman has been more than serviceable and filled in many blanks for a number of reasons. She can score yet she gets hers in the flow on this team and while she also plays within herself, she finds ways to contribute that might not necessarily show up on the stat sheet
Imani Ivery-5’8 CG junior
Ivery is one of the most underrated players in the area, she too is long and athletic and plays the passing lane to a tee and after the steal, her ballhandling gives her numerous options because she can hit the stop and pop from mid to long-range, she can attack the rim and finish “above the rim” and she also can see the floor and make the right pass.
I haven’t seen Foster in person and I may not until they play Angleton in the final game of the season but they are definitely a team that may create some problems in the playoffs and make a run
