Cypress Creek
Rori Harmon Rori Harmon 5'7" | PG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #12 Nation TX -5’6 PG senior
Harmon saved me some money because I had planned on buying a margarita at the restaurant across the street after the game however after watching her crossover as well as zig-zagging through the defense, my head was already spinning. She makes those around her better, that’s the line you cross from going from good to great, if no expert has ever told you that, that explains a lot however her directing traffic on the floor was equally as impressive as her barrage of jumpers and attacking the rim
Kyndall Hunter Kyndall Hunter 5'8" | SG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #23 Nation TX 5’9 SG senior
Hunter has been on the prowl for what seems like forever and watching her launch the long ball from another stratosphere has been a joy yet her creating her shot and taking defenders either all the way to the rack and finishing after the look or just settling for the midrange, she keeps defenders guessing but watching her play that passing lane usually means a layup going the other way
Taylor Jackson Taylor Jackson 6'1" | C Cy Creek | 2021 State TX 6’2 P senior
Jackson came out on fire scoring 8 of their 15 opening quarter points which were big in itself because it set the tone for the Dynamic Duo to just go off the last three quarters. Jackson has shown she can do more than rebound on both ends, as well as defend in the paint because she’s stepping out on the perimeter and showing some nice moves around the basket, finishing with both hands-on yesterday was simply a double bonus for me to see because it shows that she’s been working
Shadow Creek
Bre’Yon White Bre’Yon White 6'0" | SF Shadowcreek | 2021 State TX -6’0 SF senior
White can be overpowering in the paint, she understands how to set defenders up and elevate over them, and with her strength as well as body control, she falls into that “and one” waiting to happen, group. Her mid to long-range has definitely been a huge addition to her offensive game, it gives her options, especially when you factor in she can handle the ball and take defenders off the dribble so seeing her create under that type of pressure was big
Brooklin Brown-5’9 SG junior
Brown continues to come out of that “underrated” group showing she can create her shot against the best of them. Her stroke is fluid, she elevates on the jumper, and let me also add something else, she’s long and athletic and plays the passing lane yet her poise and composure, she doesn’t get rattled, even if she attacks the rim and finishes acrobatically after HARD contact, she shakes it off and like a Timex, she keeps on ticking so when the clock is running down, she’s ready to take the shot
