There is still elite talent available that schools will be working to get over the course of the winter. Here are some of the top players to keep an eye on.
Kate Herlihy | Middle Township
Herlihy is a two-sport star on the court and during the fall on the field hockey team. She will be a must watch player come the winter season because of her great versatility and skill.
Sidney Williams | University
Williams showed her ability to rebound on both ends over the course of her junior season. She will be one of the biggest returners for a University squad that has high hopes for the 2020-2021 season.
Adiana Pacheco | Hudson Catholic
Pacheco and Zanai Jones Zanai Jones 5'5" | PG Hudson Catholic | 2021 State NJ will enter the season with huge expectations surrounding Hudson Catholic. Pacheco is the perfect compliment on the wing to Jones at point guard. They will be an elite duo in the upcoming season.
Jasmin Boyd Jasmin Boyd 5'10" | SG Trenton Catholic | 2021 State NJ | Trenton Catholic
Boyd is a do-it-all player for Trenton Catholic. She can fill up a stat sheet in many ways and that is valuable. This is a team full of talent in the Class of 2023 but Boyd is the leading voice on and off the floor.
Nay Nay Clark | Oakcrest
Clark was one of the leading scorers in the state last season. She finished with six games of 20 or more pints, including a 40-point, 12-steal masterpiece against Camden in the opener. She will have a chance to take her success to the next level as a senior.
Akiyah Baker | St. Thomas Aquinas
Baker will be one of the leaders heading into the season for the Trojans. They are losing some key players and Baker will take on an extended role. This is a position she is ready for given her natural leadership ability.
