Emily Walters (Metrolina Christian Academy, G) is looking to hit her 1000th point, and there is very little doubt that she will hit that with her display of three point shooting. Her quick release and confidence in shooting makes it near impossible to defend. She did a great job using some post moves down low as well spinning and scoring over her opponents. She can handle the ball well pushing it up the court and scoring in transition even through contact. She finished with 22 points including 6 three pointers in a game against Concord Academy. In addition to shooting, she does a great job seeing her teammates, especially when they are making nice cuts. She throws the ball right where she needs to in order for her teammate to grab the pass and score. On defense, she anticipates passes to get in their way.
Sydney Wray (Hickory Grove Christian, C) seems to get her way in the paint no matter who she is going against. She can move well with her feet bullying her defender to where she wants them to go. She can post up at the elbow or down low. She does a great job driving through contact. She does an excellent job grabbing rebounds for her team. She finished with 10 points in a game against Charlotte Latin.
Neely Grace Tye Neely Grace Tye 5'7" | SG Charlotte Latin | 2021 NC (Charlotte Latin, G) showed off her three point shooting ability. She did an excellent job running the floor, and she even had a nice block in transition when she was getting back to prevent her opponents from getting a fast break. She had some nice steals that she would use to push up the court for her own fast breaks.
Forrest Williams (Charlotte Latin, G) was tasked with guarding the opposing post players, and she certainly held her own making sure they worked for every pass that they got as well as any shot that they put up. She was aggressive grabbing offensive rebounds to put back up herself. On offense, she ran the floor well scoring in transition, and she showed off her jump shot.
Elizabeth Rose (Charlotte Latin, G) had some great moves inside. She could move well with the ball and used her feet to get good positioning. She even handled the ball some for her team showing her versatility on the court. She tracked down rebounds with ease. Additionally, she did a great job seeing the court finding her open teammates in order for them to score. She hit a nice three pointer in the 4th quarter extending the lead for her team.
Raegan Dickens (Concord Academy, SF) caught some steals herself as well anticipating the passes from her opponents. She pushed those up the court finding open teammates cutting for some easy transition points. She can drive the ball all the way to the basket no matter what kind of contact is waiting for her. She had some nice second chance opportunities as well using her height and aggressiveness to grab some offensive rebounds in order for her to score her own points. Her hustle saved multiple possession for her team making sure they were the ones getting any loose balls. She finished with 14 points against Metrolina Christian Academy.
Katherine Ashley (Covenant Day, G) made some nice steals jumping into passing lanes. She pushed the ball up the court going the other direction for some fast break points. She was a great asset to have on fast breaks finding ways to score in transition. She would come up with strong rebounds as well when her team needed to secure the lead.
