In the COVID-19 2020 world we are living in, video and highlight films have become more and more prominent and important. We will be posting evaluations from the videos weekly. Here are some recent evals we received videos in January.
2021 Nigeria Harkless Nigeria Harkless 6'1" | PF Ribault HS | 2021 State FL (Ribault HS / Essence)
Harkless is a 6’2 post who recently transferred to Ribault. She is a versatile, athletic big who can play inside and out. Inside she is right hand dominant and is most comfortable going over her left shoulder and finishing with her right hand. If she does go the other way, she often still tries to finish with her right hand. She does have 15-foot range and the ability to put it the floor 1-2 dribbles for a pull up or take it all the way to the rim. She is one of our highest ranked 2021 unsigned prospects.
2021 Keegan Brace Keegan Brace 5'7" | CG Lake Howell | 2021 State FL (Lake Howell HS / TNBA South)
5’7 combo guard who can plays extremely hard and can play both the 1 and the 2. She is super competitive and plays hard every play and never takes a possession off. She has a high basketball IQ with excellent decision-making skills and is a deadly 3 point shooter with excellent shooting form and a quick release! She recently surpassed the 1,000 career point mark and is averaging 22.6 points per game, along with 7.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 3.6 steals.
2022 Addison Potts Addison Potts 6'0" | CG South Fort Myers | 2022 State FL (Seffner Christian / Tampa Thunder)
Potts recently transferred back to Florida after attending Millbrook School in New York. She is a big, skilled combo guard who verbally committed to Missouri in the SEC as an 8th grader. She is currently averaging 16 points per game and shooting 43% from 3 through 8 games at Seffner Christian, where she recently transferred to. As you can see in the video, she has an excellent stroke with a high release point both off the catch and shoot from 3 as well as in ball screens off the dribble. The combination of her height and high release point makes it very difficult for defenses to affect her shot. At the rim, she is a creative finisher who has the ability to finish both with the left and right hand.
2023 Rusne Augustinaite Rusne Augustinaite 5'10" | CG Montverde Academy | 2023 State FL (Montverde Academy)
5’11 long, versatile wing who can play multiple positions and is a skilled scorer. Originally from Lithuania, she has transferred to Montverde Academy and made an immediate impact, helping lead Montverde to a # 1 national ranking. She is an excellent passer with good court vision and a high IQ. She moves well without the ball and her ability to knock it down from outside allows her to stretch the defense. Although a solid 3-point shooter, her best skill seems to be putting the ball to the floor from the perimeter off a shot fake and shooting the mid-range jumper or getting all the way to the rim. Look for her to be a new add to the updated 2023 rankings coming out this Friday.
2025 Jim’Miyah Branton (SLAM! Miami)
5’7 8th grade guard is starting varsity for new head coach Krystal Cabrera and through 10 games has helped them to a 5-5 record and is the team’s leading scorer averaging 12.8 piints per game including 21 points for Mater Academy and multiple 17-point games vs Miami Senior HS, Fergusson, and Chaminade-Madonna. She is an athletic slasher who puts her head down and finds a way to get to the rim. She can finish with both her left and right hands either at rim or on a floater and is loves the spin move. She is at her best in the open floor in transition and in space. Just a young 8th grader playing a major role for a varsity team look for her to get stronger and polish her offensive game as much of what she does is on raw skill and athleticism. Her activity level and energy allow her to get a number of steals and deflections and constantly be around the ball.
