Looking at the updated rankings that now includes a positional ranking, here are the top five point guards in the class.
1) 5’5 PG Julianna Walker Julianna Walker 5'5" | PG Annie Wright | 2021 State WA (Annie Wright) *Signed to Syracuse (ACC)
- The number two overall prospect in the senior class of Washington is the number one point guard. She is an explosive scorer and I do not see that changing too much, but she will have a lot of options around her at a powerful program like Syracuse.
2) 5’6 PG Ashlyn Wallace Ashlyn Wallace 5'6" | PG Clarkston | 2021 State WA (Clarkston HS) *Signed to Idaho (Big Sky)
- A dynamic player that dominates at the 2A level for Clarkston High School, breaking multiple records during her high school career. The future Idaho Vandal can hit the three, setup half court offense or push it on the break to score or assist. She figures to have a strong career for Idaho as she fits right into their style of play.
3) 5’5 PG Esmeralda Morales Esmeralda Morales 5'5" | PG Bethel | 2021 State WA (Bethel HS) *Signed to Portland State (Big Sky)
- A super skilled offensive player that excels on that side of the ball. Her handles, midrange and three point shot will all translate to the next level. She plays with great change of pace and makes good reads on the pick and roll.
4) 5’7 PG Andie Zylak Andie Zylak 5'7" | PG Lewis and Clark | 2021 State WA (Lewis and Clark HS) *Signed to Eastern Washington (Big Sky)
- A point guard that is capable of holding her own against just about any other player at her position in the state, despite having less accolades and overall notoriety. EWU got a really nice in-state pickup here. Zylak is capable of doing a little bit of everything on the floor and she plays with great energy.
5) 5’5 PG Aaliyah Collins Aaliyah Collins 5'5" | PG Glacier Peak | 2021 State WA (Glacier Peak HS) *Committed to Chicago State (WAC)
- The most dynamic defender of this bunch checks in at number five of the top ranked point guards. Collins works so hard and she can be a real game changer turning defense to offense. Her greatest strength on offense is attacking the paint and I believe she will have a lot of success doing so in the Western Athletic Conference.
