Kate Hollifield Kate Hollifield 5'9" | CG Shelby | 2022 State NC : The 5’10 shooting guard from Shelby high school just won herself a state championship! One of the best shooters in this class and state she doesn’t disappoint in her performance. In their shortened season (only 16 games played including all the playoff games) she knocked down 35 from deep, going only 1 game without making any, and 6 different times knocked down 3+. She is a tremendous player and leader to watch, and that is why she has already picked up some offers from schools. Catch her this summer with the Carolina Elite organization, and her senior season next winter.
Saniya Wilson Saniya Wilson 5'6" | CG Kings Mountain | 2022 State NC : The 5’6 guard from Kings Mountain high school is a tough athletic player who proved she belongs on this list. Improving her 3 point percentage from last year’s 23% to this years 34% is a big bump. She has a nice looking shot, not too slow on the release, has nice range, and can shoot it off the bounce. She moves well when the ball isn’t in her hands to get to the open areas on the court for her shot. But when the ball is in her hands she can create her own shot and offense for herself and teammates. On top of all of that she has a motor and just GOES. She should be on someone’s college roster after next season.
Lillian McRae: The 5’5 guard from Wesleyan Christian Academy is no stranger to the spotlight. Playing on the tough Addidas AAU gauntlet, and already having a game winning shot under her belt, she can take the pressure of being a shooter. She has games where she can really get hot and fill it up, like when she was coming off a game where she didn’t hit anything to having back-to-back games knocking down 4 from deep and putting up 17 and 19 points. She finds her groove and confidence and lets it fly. She is another tough player and team leader on this list. Catch her this summer with Team Felton 2022 organization, and her senior season next winter.
Bentlee Chockley: The 5’10 small forward from Enka high school really had herself a nice junior season. She is another one who can score it in bunches, and if she has a game where she was cold, watch out cause she is coming out hot next one. She started off her season hot, 20+ points, 4 made from deep in each game, got a little cold from deep in the next 2 games, then boom 6 made from deep a near 30 point performance. She has great size, plays hard, moves well without the ball, and has a nice high release point. She is a 2 sport athlete playing softball as well. Catch her this summer with East TN Air Thunder organization, and her senior season next winter.
