Nya Threatt Nya Threatt 5'7" | CG Dulles | 2022 State TX -5’7 (Dulles)
Threatt is a heady guard that always plays under control. Her ability to see the floor has been there since I caught her in the 6th grade as well as her scoring but she continues to take her game to other levels as she creates her shot under pressure to knock down the mid to long-range or attack off the dribble
Alyssa Tarpley Alyssa Tarpley 5'11" | CG Gunter | 2022 State TX -5’10 (Allen)
Tarpley sets defenders up smoothly and watching her create her shot while being defended is something because her form is really good, she elevates on her jumper and she can score from anywhere on the floor yet she attacks and finishes after contact, she handles the ball and she hits teammates on the money
Sydney Love Sydney Love 5'10" | CG Cibolo Steele | 2022 State TX -5’10 (Cibolo Steele)
Love sold me a couple of years ago with her midrange and observing her in transition drop the stop and pop from 15 feet over and over as well as slicing by defenders to attack and finish or dish the ball to her teammates but she does a good job on the defensive end as well and her pressure on that end adds to her game
Alex Neimeth Alex Neimeth 5'9" | CG Cedar Ridge | 2022 State TX -5’9 (Cedar Ridge)
Neimeth continues to take her game to different levels and has added the #CLUTCH with the hashtag after her brilliant season that included several big shots as well as plays to help her team make a nice run. She’s heady, creates the mid to long-range yet she also sees the floor and makes the right decisions
Jahcelyn Hartfield Jahcelyn Hartfield 5'6" | CG South Grand Prairie | 2022 State TX -5’6 (South Grand Prairie)
Hartfield can take defenders at will and when she attacks, she attacks powerfully but she also can drop the jumper from mid to long-range and after watching her apply pressure defense as well as rebounding against taller opponents, observing her running the offense and getting players involved sold me
Jasmyn Lott Jasmyn Lott 5'8" | CG Memorial | 2022 State TX -5’8 (Memorial)
Lott has always brought a lot to the table and seeing this long and athletic 6th grader play the passing lane and go coast to coast for baskets gave me an idea of what was coming and watching her continue to add things like a knockdown jumper as well as handling the ball under pressure not to leave out her on-ball defense, her game is solid
Kenna Gibson Kenna Gibson 5'5" | CG Clear Springs | 2022 State TX -5’7 (Clear Springs)
Gibson could always shoot the ball and as the years have gone by, I’m watching her drop 25 footers with regularity but she can attack as well as attack and dish, and observing her make the transition to the 1 at various times made me smile because she is vocal, gets others involved or just takes over
Angelique Morgan Angelique Morgan 5'8" | CG Harker Heights | 2022 State TX -5’7 (Harker Heights)
Morgan has taken her game to yet another level and her explosiveness off the dribble to attack and finish as well as that same explosiveness off the ground for the mid to long-range is hard to handle yet she can handle the ball with ease under pressure, sees the floor and throws blazing passes on the money and I won’t even mention the heat she brings on defense, well I guess I did
Peyton Overton Peyton Overton 5'7" | CG Dulles | 2022 State TX -5’7 (Dulles)
Overton let every know ow it wasn’t over and watching her at a young age outscore teams used to have me shaking my head yet her slight hesitation with the ball catches defenders off guard and enables her to attack the rim and finish strongly but she also sees the floor and makes good passes as well as shoots it from outside
Rachel Okoye Rachel Okoye 5'6" | CG George Ranch | 2022 State TX -5’7 (George Ranch)
Okoye goes hard on both ends and watching her not only defend but defend the right way creates plenty of turnovers which leads to baskets for her team. She creates her shot under pressure, can drop the mid to long-range and when she attacks, she understands how to create contact and finish. She sees the floor and makes good decisions
