This “second team” is not that far off from the first and it really was a tough call on a lot of these players. Just like it was a tough call distinguishing these players from the ’honorable mentions’ coming out over the next few days. The point is, the PGH Circuit is loaded with talent and you need to be there – or watching on Baller TV.
Katelyn Chomko | 5-7 CG | Just Play Elite 17U | Tomball Memorial High, TX | 2022 | @katelyn_chomko
Talk about a consistent scorer on a very good team, Chomko is it. In her four games, she had 10, 8, 9 and 10 points. Oh, by the way, her team went undefeated on the weekend. She is a leader, talkative on the court. She has good size for a guard with long arms. She is quick and fast and is very adept at finding the soft spot in zones, slashing in out of nowhere for the easy bucket. Not only is JP Elite a very well coached team, but Chomko is a very coachable player. She works hard and will probably improve even more over the course of the summer on the PGH Circuit. Tune into the Circuit to watch her beautiful jump shot with a nice, quick release. Watch her dish passes all over the place and battle hard the entire game. She puts on a show in the bright lights and will most definitely be doing it after next high school season for some very lucky university.
Milica Matic | 6-0 F | Platinum Basketball 2022 (Bruce) | Rockwall High, TX | 2022 | @maticeva7
Yet another great player from a team that went undefeated on the weekend, this Serbian star has a load of offers and it is clear to see why. She is a tremendous scorer that has everything a coach could want. She has a mid-range jumper, finishes at the rim with or without contact, can stroke the three and is a very, very good defender. Matic has tremendous handles and her game is honestly exactly what you would want from a European player. She is a big that can handle the ball, she runs the point as needed, yet has picked up a flair during her time in Texas high school basketball that will serve her well as she goes on to play at whichever D-I is lucky enough to have her commit.
Rachel Early Rachel Early 5'7" | CG Dobson | 2021 State AZ | 5-7 CG | New Mexico D1 2022 | Dobson High, AZ | 2021 | @raedog1203
Early has such a beautiful shot, it honestly was very fun to watch her play. She can score in bunches. In the first two games she had 17 and 13 against some pretty good teams. She loves to shoot from deep, but with her handles, she isn’t relegated to just hanging out outside the three-point line. She is a hard-worker on both ends of the floor and is an integral part of a really good New Mexico D1 squad. If you get a chance to see her on the next PGH Circuit stop, make sure you do. She will be the one standing out on video due to her high motor and even higher basketball IQ. Early is committed to Shelton State CC in Alabama which means that university coaches will have even more time to evaluate her game against very good JuCo talent. You may have missed once, you won’t want to miss her again.
Princis Goff | 5-7 CG | O.W.E. Family Renegades Elite 2022 | Atlanta High, LA | 2022 | @GoffPrincis
Goff almost put up double-digits in every game of the Duel for the Dynasty. In fact, she is pretty good at it. Having played varsity since eighth grade, she averaged over 20 points per game last season and posted a triple-double. Goff can flat-out do it all. The scary part for other teams is that she is not just a scorer. She is an elite ball-handler with very good court vision who does a good job of dribbling her way out of trouble and finding the open teammate in better scoring position. Princis is a baller and you need to take a look before it’s too late and some other school grabs their starting point guard for the next four years.
Susanna Kate Moran | 6-0 F | Platinum Basketball 2022 (Bruce) | Whitehouse High, TX | 2022 | @Platinumbball
Let’s be honest, if you play for Platinum, you can ball. Not only was this particular team undefeated, but several other Platinum teams were, also. I say all of that to say that if Moran plays for them, she is someone you will want to take a look at. Moran is a big-bodied post player who has all of the moves underneath. She has a nice turnaround jumper and showed really good footwork underneath. She is a good rebounder and a very good rim defender. She made it very hard for the other teams’ bigs to score inside and should a guard choose to run at the rim, her shot was more than likely getting swatted. Moran is fun to watch and you won’t want to miss the opportunity when it comes up next.
