South Dakota Class B State Tournament Top Performers (Part 2)

<b>[player_tooltip player_id="182495" first="Rylee" last="Rossow"] - Herreid/Selby - (6’4/C/2021) - </b>Rylee has great overall size and is an inside force for Herreid/Selby. She had the best size of all the prospects in the state tournament. She led the entire tournament in rebounding with 12 per game, including 8 offensive rebounds against Waverly-South Shore. Also, contributed in scoring with 9.33 per game. <b>[player_tooltip player_id="268936" first="Kendell" last="Sawinsky"] - Herreid/Selby - (5’9/PG/2022) - </b>Kendell plays the point guard position to a tee. A great ball-handler that sets and controls the pace of the game. Can handle the ball in transition at a good speed, crossing over at pace. Great passer and is a pass-first point guard. Great at finding teammates for inside buckets. Understands angles and where to put the ball to make it easy for teammates to score. Highly underrated by the average spectator. Her stats weren’t eye-popping in the tournament, but she chipped in 8 assists, 7 steals, and scored 18 points in 3 games. Kendell was added to the database and will be ranked in our next update. <b>[player_tooltip player_id="246742" first="Annalyse" last="Weber"] - Hanson - (5’8/PG/2023) - </b>Annalyse was in attack mode throughout the tournament. She could get to the hoop and slice through multiple defenders with ease. Not only can she get by defenders, she has a nice stroke from three. Had a nice game vs Waverly-South Shore tossing in 19 points, and finished the tournament with 40 total points for an average of 13.33. Active on the defensive end with 7 steals in the tourney. She will be moving up the rankings board in the class of 2023 in South Dakota, as she played with a ton of confidence in just her Sophomore season. <b>[player_tooltip player_id="181412" first="Mekiah" last="Campbell"] - Hanson - (6’0/C/2021) - </b>Mekiah is a long, lanky 6’0 prospect. Boarded the ball well throughout the tournament averaging 11.7 per game for second best behind Rossow in the tournament. She pulled down an impressive 16 offensive rebounds. Scored the ball fairly well, giving her a double-double average with 11.67 per game in the tourney. <b>[player_tooltip player_id="182428" first="Lydia" last="Schroeder"] - Waverly-South Shore - (5’6/PG/2021) - </b>The senior guard plays with confidence and is fearless. Not afraid to put her body in harms way and doesn’t shy away from contact. An overall threat on the court that can shoot the three, making four in her opening game vs Castlewood. She was 6-13 for three for the tourney with a scoring average of 10.67. Scored 17 points vs Castlewood.
