From high school to travel, these players have impacted their respective programs and continue to make a name for themselves across the state. [player_tooltip player_id="247129" first="Kendra" last="Bentley"] 5'9 2023 (Santaluces) Heading into her junior year averaging just under 16 a night over her first two seasons, Bentley has great size for the backcourt. At 5'9 she has one of the better hesitations I've seen at the high school level and very good finishing ability in the lane. She has great touch on her floater in the lane, all she needs is a bit of daylight in the paint, and leaving her open from deep can hurt you as well. She has a deceptive speed to her and a next-level understanding of how to get to where she wants on the floor. I watched her do a hop-step move that made me a fan, she has real craftiness to her game and the consistent numbers to prove it. Iesha Rhodin 5'8 2022 (Grandview Prep) Rhodin is a savvy scoring guard with good size and the intelligence to play point. She understands the concept of drawing the defense and kicking to an open shooter but will knock down the deep ball herself. She holds her form well and gets a good arch on her follow-through, I like her most when she's playing downhill creating for herself. Rhodin's tough finishes in the lane are what first stood out to me. Grandview Prep's leading scorer a season ago, from the first time I saw her in a workout I was impressed. [player_tooltip player_id="220008" first="Lauren" last="Lockhart"] 6'0 2022 (Boynton Beach) Lockhart is effective because she keeps things simple and just plays hard, at 5'11 with the ability to defend, the rising senior can help a program at the next level. I liked the way she used her length to be in the passing lanes, coaches will enjoy how willing she is on that end. Offensively she does a good job of going up strong in traffic and over smaller defenders. If she can knock down mid-range jump shots consistently, and continue to guard multiple positions, Lockhart can be a nightly double-double threat. [player_tooltip player_id="248281" first="Hilary" last="Englert"] 5'9 2024 (Bolles) With great mechanics on her jumper and the ability to finish with either hand around the rim, the Bolles/CBA product is a player to watch as she develops. I was impressed by how quick her release is, although only a freshman, this will help her at the college level when the speed of the game causes most players to adjust. Englert is a willing rebounder, plays active, and also moves well without the ball. She shoots the midrange which I always enjoy seeing, and her size gives her the ability to knock down shots even with good closeouts. Tyra Blye 5'10 2024 (Everglades) Blye's length and activity stood out to me on film. Defensively she can cause problems on the perimeter making life hard for opposing ball handlers and is quick off her feet when disrupting shots. Capable with her left hand around the rim, and will finish through contact on her way to the foul line. Blye has a good runner in the lane and is capable from mid-range, at 5'10 with the way she attacks off the bounce, heigh ceiling for the Everglades product. [player_tooltip player_id="248345" first="Clare" last="Coyle"] 6'1 2024 (Bishop Kenny) As a freshman, she contributed to a group that made a deep playoff run. Coyle's skillset is that of a point-forward. Her versatility in the way she finds teammates, will attack from the perimeter, and her understanding of how to play off setting screens is eye-opening. She does a great job of showing a target when she's open and can play with her back to the basket. My favorite part of her game is that she is how much of a matchup problem she is from the high-post area. She will head fake and rip the ball through for great drives and is great in high-low action. The duo of her and [player_tooltip player_id="217663" first="Sydney" last="Roundtree"] could be scary for years to come. High ceiling for the Bishop Kenny product.
