Alex Neimeth Alex Neimeth 5'9" | CG Cedar Ridge | 2022 State TX -5’8 SG (Austin Elite RFW)
Neimeth just keeps adding more to her toolbox and she’s becoming a master mechanic because first of all, she plays smart and within herself. She could get shots galore if she wanted yet she understands the importance of getting “the best shot” so watching her create for herself and her teammates has always been something special yet in the blink of an eye, she can fill it up, mid to long as well as in the clutch and she that
Maurdaisha Powell Maurdaisha Powell 5'10" | SF Dulles | 2022 State TX -5’11 SF ( Skyrise Edmond)
Powell is “long and athletic” that’s the base, please don’t forget that, and watching her create her shot, elevates over defenders for the mid to long-range and with her length, the release gets off not only easily but accurately so what else did she do? Attacked and finished after contact, defended in the paint as well as baseline to baseline, rebounded on both ends, and played the passing lane
Aniah Hall Aniah Hall 6'3" | PF Temple | 2022 State TX -6’3 P (Team Lex Tar Heels)
Hall landed on her feet and I’m talking about only her incredible rebounding but always remember, I love things you can’t teach, and watching her BATTLE for everything that comes off the rim against some of the top bigs in the country falls into the “it’s not what yo do, it’s who you do it against” category. She’s finishing stronger, with both hands and applying pressure defensively
Ja’Shelle Johnson Ja’Shelle Johnson 5'5" | PG SA Johnson | 2023 State TX -5’5 PG (SA Finest Ki Wil) 2023
Johnson helped keep the ” you know it’s Good Times when JJ is on the court because she is DYNOMITE” and I’ve used that on several players with those initials and it definitely fits her. When you show me “poise” and being”under control” early, things usually fall into place ye her ability to push the ball in transition or control the tempo and run the halfcourt just stood out, so did her jumper from mid to long-range
Makayla Ford-5’7 SG (Lady Thunder-King) 2023
Ford has several acronyms yet Finished Or Rebounded plus Defended is what I saw and showed me she was more than a just long ball shooter yet let’s not get it twisted because the leaderboard had her among the top long ball shooters at the event and watching her either create her shot to drop, come around a screen to drop it or one of my favorites, to “catch and shoot it” showed her progression
Paris Guillory-5’8 CG (Lake City Pride 2022 Platinum) 2023
Guillory sold me in middle school, not sure if it was the 7th grade but the most important thing is that I was right, yet I’m never wrong so she smoothly scores in the flow, that’s either attacking the basket and finishing after the lick, hit the “stop and pop” in transition or just keeping the defender guessing with a nice crossover or showing the HEZ but her range is deep and consistent
Taliyah Parker-6’0 SF (Banshees 17U) 2024
Parker had me glance back at some of what I’ve already said about this talented young and it was easy because first of all, she’s long and athletic and one more time, that is the base yet her ceiling is unlimited because of her skillset. She faces the basket and scores, she scores off the dribble, she scores on putbacks as well as showed nice and hands and footwork to, well score so her TIMING creates problems because it enables her to do the Big 3, block, alter or deflect yet her defense is pretty impressive as well
