#30: 2022, 5’8” Forward, St. Mary’s HS (Stockton), Sophia Lee – If you didn’t know her age you probably would be amazed at how well her composure is on the court. Skilled wing player who likes to bang down low and a ball magnet. She can finish the mid range and showed glimpses of her outside game but she loves to drive to the basket and draws fouls.
#19: 2022, 5’9” PG/SG, Crean Lutheran HS, Taylor Feldman Taylor Feldman 5'7" | SG Crean Lutheran HS | 2022 State CA – Taylor ended the first game of the camp with two steals in the final 30 seconds to get the win in regulation. First steal coming off of man to man pressure where she cuts off the offensive player near half court on the right sideline and gets an easy layup to tie up the game. Next possession down with less than 10 seconds on the clock Taylor reads a pass from the strong side and gets a clear path lay up for the go ahead bucket for the win.
#5: 2022, 5’5” PG/SG, King HS, Jordan Arreola Jordan Arreola 5'6" | SG MLKing HS | 2022 State CA – Jordan shines from beyond the arc, don’t leave her open or you’ll pay. Feisty, high energy, and handles the ball well under pressure. She plays with composure and reads the floor. Defensively this girl gets after it, she guarded bigger players with no issues. Don’t sleep on this one she’ll get in her groove and drop a quick ten to fifteen in a flash.
#6: 2022, 5’3” PG, Chaminade Prep HS, Kayla Cabaccang Kayla Cabaccang 5'3" | PG Chaminade Prep | 2022 State CA – Kayla is a ball of fire, athletic and crafty with the ball in hand, and finishes around the basket with an arsenal of shots. She has a good anticipation for the game on both ends of the court. One of the quickest first steps here at this showcase with the ball in her hand. Defensively Kayla is a pest you can’t get rid of until the game is over. Even then I think she’s still inside the opponent’s head. You can’t measure this girl’s game by the size of her height, because she’s got heart.
#37: 2022, 5’8, CG, Bishop Amat HS, Laila Williams Laila Williams 5'8" | SF Temple City HS | 2022 State CA – Gets up and down the floor well. Not afraid to rebound and establish space. Needs to work on finding the open spots to be more effective. Once her IQ goes up her plane will improve. She has all the tools she needs to be one of the better players on the floor. I think she lacks some of the experience. She needs to be more hungry.
#8: 2022, 5’5, CG, St. Anthony HS, Bridgette McIntyre – she’s a point guard who can control the flow of the game. She can settle things down and she sees the floor well. Very good sugar from deep. She I’mhas instant energy when she’s on the floor. She sees open man. She drives to the basket well and is a very good defense of player. She makes players around her better. I would like to see her take more responsibility for some of her passes. She controls the game well she just needs to make sure she’s making the right decisions. I would like to see her learn how to put her opponents away and finish the game strong. I would like to see her make the other team quit. I think she has the potential to do that. I would like her to stop and pop some of the 15 foot shots when she’s open.
#35: 2022, 6’0, SG/SF, JSerra HS, Hailey Johnson Hailey Johnson 6'0" | SF JSerrra HS | 2022 State CA – Very good shooter. She is an all-around player. She can play any position on the floor. Very aggressive defensively. In the right situation she can be a game changer. She plays well inside and out and crashes the board well.I would like to see her pull up from mid range when she’s open. And make defenders pay. She could’ve easily been the high score on our team if she would’ve taken advantage of the situation better. She has a size and speed to cause problems for any defender. I think she just needs to learn how to punish people more and take advantage of her potential.
